Nice price and easy to insert and "click in" the pins
Nice price and easy to insert and "click in" the pins. This adapter once pinned along with a cat 5 cable works very well for a serial-to-rj45 console cable. Would recommend this product.

Perfect inexpensive alternative to Lantronix cable
Bought this to reset a Lantronix Spider. The cable from their website is $14! (http://store.lantronix.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=200.2070A)

Works well
Does a fine job. The pinout coloring could be more clear, but once you know it, it's fine, and you can always look it up. Made a mistake, but a paper clip can push it back out. I wouldn't recommend doing it many times, I'm sure it'll weaken everything.
One thing would be nice is ability to buy a version that includes shorting and splitting data lines. Some pinouts call for this. E.g., shorting Data Carrier Detect (DCD) and Ready to Send (RTS).
PROS: Easy to use. Can re-set/push out with a paperclip if necessary (not recommended)
CONS: No pinout/color map.
