Does the filiment work with the monoprice select 3D printer V2?

BEST ANSWER: Does the monoprice select 3D printer V2 use a 1.75mm hot end? If so this will work. You need to keep the hot end and filament diameters pretty darn close to one another for proper heating and layers.

The spool is too big to fit in the Voxel, had to make a spool holder to feed it from outside. Then it worked fine.

I know that PLA can't typically be acetone smoothed (unless it is mixed with another plastic). Is this pure PLA or can I smooth it using acetone?

BEST ANSWER: There are ways to smooth PLA with one I have heard of being using non-acetone nail polish remover, though I have never tried it. YouTube may hold some more options. To my knowledge it is pure PLA. I have printed with this and it prints well though I prefer the PLA+ though it doesn't have the same color choices.

Question regarding the bed temperature on this filament. The Bed Temp indicates "No heat (60-80 degrees C)" and I have just started with this spool and the Monoprice MP Select Mini V2 printer, though I just wanted to ensure that I won't mess up any of my prints. For the test print, I set it to 60 C. Should I need to assign that temp, should I have the bed temp off, or am I just being a bit too paranoid? lol

BEST ANSWER: you can print this with the bed temp off, which is what i do for small prints. but if you are printing large, you may experiment with a 60-65* bed temp and i have heard that helps ward of warping later on as the part cools and shrinks.

Will this work with the Monoprice Cadet? The recent online manual (40108_Manual_200117.pdf) says PLA with 1.75 mm diameter, but the manual that came with my printer (40108_Manual_191104.pdf) says PLA with 3.5 mm. Which one is correct?

BEST ANSWER: From the info I found it does use this size. (1.75mm). That being said if it's for a classroom or something where many people will use it this printer looks okay. If it's for personal use I wouldn't choose this printer.

Just a novice, had to increase the bed temperature a bit
In my initial run with this filament, the initial layers of the part separated from the bed. I increased the bed temperature to 60 degrees, and this problem went away.

Good Quality for Starters
Monoprice filament is relatively inexpensive compared to other filament types on the market, being almost half the cost. It does have its downsides, however, that can make it hard to work with sometimes. The filament clogged up a few times in the beginning and the filament itself is very brittle and can break easily as it is being fed into the extruder. Aside from those issues, the filament is great and has allowed me to print several different models from big to small. Overall this filament is great for beginners as it works great on my Ender 3 Max and is cheap compared to the almost 25 dollars that Creality wants you to spend on their filament.

Great Value Filament

Good price and well wound spool. Will buy again
Did the job. A touch stringy compared to what I'm used to but a ln extra MM retraction is all good. Will buy again when I'm through all the others I bought.
