Will this be available for purchase on 1/31 as stated on site? We have this bracket and need a second one of the exact model to interchange TV in different locations.
These have to be the cheapest quality product I've ever purchased from Monoprice - especially for being a "commercial" series. The wall bracket is OK but probably the thinnest gauge metal of any bracket I've ever used - enough that I second guessed using them at all. The built-in level is 100% useless, since it just moves around and isn't fixed to the bracket in any permanent way. I literally took them off and threw them away and leveled with an actual level. Nice thought, but completely useless. The brackets for the back of the display might bend in a strong wind. There are sections of the LCD brackets (where it clears the wall bracket) there there is no side support so it's just a single flat piece of metal and WILL bend if you're not careful.
OK, the couple good things: they're cheap. They do actually hold a TV on the wall. And they're crazy slim. That's about it.
But I will not be buying these brackets ever again. And I don't think I would recommend anyone else buy them either - ESPECIALLY not in any commercial environment. Monoprice makes plenty of other quality mounts that I will buy - these are not it.
Terrible Installation Process, But Looks Nice Once Complete
Once it is installed, the mount definitely does it's job. Extremely flush and easily holds all the TV. The biggest problem is the mechanisms for "locking" the TV to the wall mount. It uses little metal clips on springs essentially that clip to the bottom rail of the wall mount and they are just totally janky and the actual hardware itself was so thick that it was pushing up against the wall. It took way more fiddling and effort than should have been necessary to get the TV to actually clip in on the bottom. So from an installation perspective I do not recommend this mount, but after it's installed it does look good and function correctly.
I thought that at $15 it would be just an alright tv mount, but it actually feels very sturdy and well made. The mount bent metal pieces that attach to the tv and the wall both are very stiff with no flex at all. It comes with pretty much everything you'll need. It has 2 different kinds of spacers, 5 different threaded screws for the tv vesa pattern, and dry wall anchors with what looks like 3/8" screw. I didn't like the dry wall anchors they provided because they don't like to grip very well and they are for 1/2" dry wall so if you have anything different then you'll have trouble. Overall though, I am very happy with the mount. Recommended.
