Does this wall mount allow you to hide the cables?

BEST ANSWER: yes, look at the picture on the sides you will see what looks likes like tabs and spaces that is where the wires go in and out. I mounted my high close to the tv and left out the top cap to bring wires in from the top then out on the appropriate self

How glossy are the shelves, will they reflect the TV and be distracting if too close to the display?

BEST ANSWER: The shelves are (black) glass, so, I'd say they are glossy. As for reflecting the TV, I think that depends on on whether or not the TV is mounted above the shelves, and if it is, how low are your shelves and how angled down is your TV? Also, most people put things on their shelves, so how much of the shelf is going to be covered? If a DVD/BD player or game console will be sitting on that top shelf, you won't notice anything. Even without something sitting on the top shelf, you won't notice anything in most scenarios.

I lost the "Fingers" (cord managers that slide in to the shelf) are they replaceable? It came with 4 and I've lost them in a move.

Any safe way to Make shelf bigger? it is to short for my avr and center speaker, but within weight limits. I just don't want the equipment hanging off the edge or no room for wires in back of avr.

Acknowledging that this is generally probably unadvised, can you add additional shelves to this unit? I have two of these two shelf units, and I am only currently using one. I would like to take one shelf from the extra unit that I am not using and add that to the one that I am.

BEST ANSWER: I have several of the 2 and 3 shelf units and they are built very much the same with the 3 shelf having a slightly longer wall mount to account for additional clearance for the items on the shelves. Almost all of ours are mounted directly into wood studs or into metal studs using toggle anchors with the exception of one which is directly into 3/4in drywall using 100lb drywall anchors and there has never been a worry of collapse. We recently moved a 3rd shelf onto one of the 2 shelf units due to clearance issues we had on our longer 3 shelf unit and no issues due to weight were observed.

Exactly what I wanted/expected.
Exactly what I wanted/expected. Good quality, sturdy and easy to install and comes with all the screws and bolts to complete the job. Great for a PS4 or XBox. One regret, buy the 3 shelf... you'll use the third shelf... Charging controllers, headsets, or placing a camera or other gear.

I thought this was going to be a cheap solution for me. Turned out to be even better than I expected. The shelves are glass with a black coating. The part the shelves attach to, is extruded aluminum.

Very good but not perfect
Looks great and holds the cable box, AppleTV and BlueRay player. Since the shelves are supported from the center the shelves are not as sturdy as a side support unit.
