Will this work on a brick wall?
A shopper
on Dec 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but you will have to use the plastic wall anchors and lag bolts which should be supplied. You will, of course need to have a hammer drill fitted with the proper masonry bit to make the holes in the brick. Try to avoid the mortar joint if you can, especially for the top anchor bolts which bear the most pull out force. It's OK to use the mortar joints for the bottom bolts if you have to. Just try to hit the center of the bricks for the top bolts.

If you know how to properly use masonry anchors in brick it works fine. You will also know the permanent holes you'll need to put in the brick to make that work as well. Hire a professional if you're not familiar with mounting things securely to brick.

Yes, you would just need the appropriate anchor bolts for a masonry surface.

Does this mount have to tilt or it the tilt feature simply an option?
Cat O
on Jun 10, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I own 10 of these brackets. It's just an option to tilt. There's a big plastic screw that you tighten or losen in order for it to tilt.

Can this TV wall mount be installed using drywall screws? Can any of the monoprice TV mounts be installed to the drywall of a stud wall? This is for a 43 inch tv. Thanks.

BEST ANSWER: I would say, technically, yes, as long as the heads are wide enough and the screw is long enough to go at least an inch and a half or two inches. However, I would opt for drilling into the stud with the appropriately sized drill bit and securing the mount to the wall using the included screws. This should be the safest and most secure method. If screws were not provided, get some lag screws of the diameter that easily fits through the mounting holes. Drywall screws are not made for this sort of application, so use them at your own risk.

You will want to use Snaptoggle wall anchors. Google Snaptoggle wall anchor and see. You can also buy them at lowes. I've hung 65" tv with them with no issue for a flat wall bracket. If its a articulating wall bracket then try to hit 1 stud with bolts and other side with Snaptoggle. Good Luck !

The short answer to that is yes. It really comes down to the weight of the tv. Additionally, I would recommend going and getting butterfly anchors as opposed to the anchors it comes with.

this item does come with all screws required to mount tv onto bracket?
A shopper
on May 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes, this mount will come with all the screws needed to mount it to the wall. Also, it will come with M5x14, M6x14, M8x20, M6x30, and M8x30 screws to mount the TV to it.
We would recommend referencing the user manual of your TV for the screw size it uses as well as the VESA hole mounting pattern used to mount it.
Once you have the VESA, make sure that it falls between the supported VESAs of the mount (75x50 ~ 400x400) and that it does not exceed the supported weight of 99lbs.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
To determine compatibility with a TV mount to your TV, please determine the VESA mounting pattern on the back of your TV.
It is the 4 screw hole square formation on the back and it is usually listed on the TV specs or you can find out by measuring it yourself(measured in millimeters).
This mount's VESA range is 75 x 50 up to 400 x 400 and up so please check the TV mount specs for compatibility as well. I hope this helps, thank you!

Should the locking screws be on the top of the bottom? Most mounts i've purchased have the screws on the bottom, but the instructions show the screw on the top. The pictures for this mount show it both ways.

Small and sturdy
This mount worked well above the fireplace because it has more tilt than most. The added tilt reduces neck strain while looking up, above the mantle.

POOR COMUNICATION WITH CUSTOMERS
THEY GIVE ME A REFUND CAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PART IN STOCK, THEY COULD LET ME KNOW BEFORE REFUND ME TO GET A DIFFERENT PART. HOW CAN I SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE WALL MOUNT IF I DIDNT GET NOTHING!! I END UP BUYING IT AT WALMART.

I used this to mount an old 37" LCD TV on my bedroom wall and then a larger (42"?) TV that replaced it when the old one died. The TV's have remained hanging on the wall as intended for quite some time now.
I am a little concerned about the lack of a provision to keep the TV brackets from being lifted off the baseplate. Every other bracket I've ever seen has had a screw or some kind of cleat you install that needs to be removed to make it possible to disengage the TV brackets from the baseplate. This one doesn't. There are screws on the top of the brackets, but they appear to be for leveling the TV or keeping it from sliding horizontally. If one were to hit the TV from below with enough force, like say you were doing something below, stood up quickly and bashed your head against it on the way up, it could lift over the lip on the baseplate and fall off. I'm sure I haven't installed anything upside down; that occurred to me and I tried flipping things over, but it only fits together one way. I don't appear to be missing any parts either, as there doesn't seem to be anywhere to install any other pieces. I'll just fabricate something myself to solve the issue, but I feel like I really shouldn't have to do that.

Needed 6 of these and they were ideal
I installed a bunch of TVs above a bar and needed them to line up next to each other perfectly. I was also under a pretty strict budget. These mounts are perfect for simply mounting with a tilt. I recommend them for general TV mounting if you know what you're doing.

Great bracket. Came with everything needed!
Nice, sturdy and low prices. Came with a built in level and an extra long alan wrench for adjusting the top screws. And a locking bar for the bottom.
