BEST ANSWER: The screen is not covered. However a self adhesive screen protector can be put in the iPad before installing it.

BEST ANSWER: the front facing camera works in the mount case. You can skype or FaceTime when using it. The rear facing camera does not work when in the mount case.

Could the iPad its self be removed daily while leaving the mount secure? or is it all screwed together making this a little hard to do?

BEST ANSWER: It's all screwed together. We explored removing it daily to charge overnight but it definitely would be a pain to remove so we opted to just run a cable directly to the iPad while it's mounted.

Great little wall mount
Mount is very sturdy. I took off the iPad enclosure and the mount works perfectly for a 15 inch touchscreen monitor.

Great for tech savvy senior citizen living in another state!
We ordered this for my 85 year old mom so she could have an iPad at her dining table, always on charge and secured so she wont lose it. Installation was super easy and it works like a charm. She is enjoying her Facebook, checking her mail and Facetiming with us and we have the piece of mind she wont forget to charge it or misplace it.

Its heavy duty
You can mount a 55 tv on it, its very heavy about 10 pounds, looks and feels like cast iron, its defiantly heavy duty, I was looking for a mount so I can mount my iPad to the dashboard in my semi truck but that thing is too heavy, that mount is good for industrial use, otherwise the quality and price is excellent

Ugh
Ports don't match up for easy on/off. Having to use a wooden handled cotton swab to turn on/off. Port for charger doesn't line up. I'd send back but then I'd have a giant blem on the wall.

Love IT!
Our operations team was looking for a cheap yet effective way to mount iPads to train new and current employees on the job. I first purchased one of these to test at 1 location and 3 months later it is still in perfect condition. A lot of times the steel is not solid and begins to weaken/loosen but with this item from Monoprice I think I hit the jack pot. A few weeks later after the initial test, I was asked if I can get any more and how fast! You made me look good :) Thanks Monoprice!
PROS: Solid form, doesn't weaken/loosen and what a low price! There are some selling online for more than double the price and with cheaper parts! Please don't increase the price!!
