This is the second wall mount of this model I have purchased and I must say the first one was worth much, much more than I paid, thus the reason for this second purchase. I have mounted a 55", and a 46" television to the first mount with no issues. It's easy to install and as easy as any low profile mount I've seen to hang the tv on. I would definitely recommend this mount to anyone looking for a low profile, inexpensive, quality mount.
PROS: Value, ease of install, included bubble level
This is a solid product if you want to hang a big screen as close as possible to a wall, this is probably what you're looking for. There's no fancy swivel scissor-arm nonsense here, because you just want to hang your TV and forget it. I was a little unsure about hanging my 80lb monitor on just two lag screws, but have had no issues in two weeks since I hung it. The straps are a little short for reaching up to lock the mount in place, but that's something you mess with very rarely, so grab a hanger to reach them.
My only issue is that the bar which you bolt directly to the wall is a bit short. It fits just fine between two of my 16" spaced studs, but as it turns out, the way my desk is situated I either had to position the monitor 8 inches off the left side of the desk, or raise it 8 inches because of a raised portion of my desk. I chose the latter, but if I had a longer bar that could hit three studs, I would have more leeway with where the monitor ultimately ends up. On the same train of thought, it seems there could be issues with exterior walls where the studs are 23" on center.
At this point I'm considering whether it's worth the hassle of taking down the monitor to go find a longer bar. Having a 55" monitor on your desk is great for work, but that height increase of just 8" is enough to make it uncomfortable on the neck.
PROS: Sturdy, solid construction.
Supports my 55" 80lb Cisco monitor.
CONS: A wider bar would help with mounting options.
PROS: The mounting bracket looks great and fit perfectly on my tv. Sturdy material, and thick metal. Mount doesn't look flimsy.
CONS: The bad thing about this mount is that it doesn't cover the distance between my wall studs. So I had to buy a separate wood beam to mount to my wall studs, then the mount to the beam. not bad! still cheaper than the one at home depot.
