Used it on my Chromebase which had several disadvantages, the mount is recessed and the power cable juts out the back - at first I couldn't tighten the safety screws so I screwed them in top down as security pegs, then I bought nylon spacers which gave me the clearance for the power plug and affix the screws using a couple tiny ratchet extensions and Phillips bit without the ratchet to start, hard to get any kind of screw driver with that lower wall offset. Used an app on my phone to, took 15 minutes tops to finish.
Bought this for my clients monitor, just a straight to the point mounting and its easy and bare metal so its fully secured. You may need some specialized long screw driver to lock it in place but if not then gravity will work as well.
Monoprice has always been my go-to place to find wall mount brackets for all applications. I am using this bracket to mount a 19.5", 5lb monitor on a flat wooden surface. Their brackets work great and are easy to find in their inventory. The brackets ALWAYS arrive with the appropriate hardware (screws and bolts) selection for their application. And best of all, they are very economically priced! What is not to like? Well, often the shipping costs dulls the enthusiasm of the purchase. For example, this $2.79 bracket costs $9.32 to ship from California to Texas (cheapest shipping option), yet it only weighs 1lb,5.5oz!
PROS: Price is excellent Convenience of ordering All mounting screws and bolts are included Works as advertised
CONS: Shipping cost is pretty outrageous ($9.32 for a $2.79 item weighing 1lb, 5.5oz).
These mounts are meant for TV installations but we we're actually using them for PC installations under desks. We had purchased VESA mount mini PC's and had originally meant to attach them to the monitors but these mounts proved to be a much better options.
PROS: Very slim and sturdy.
CONS: Removing the base plate from the VESA plate require the use of a Philips screwdriver so depending on the dimensions of the items being mounted, you may need a long screwdriver.
