Can this shielded patch panel be used for both (Mix) unshielded (UTP) and Shielded (FTP) cat6A cables? Some cable runs will be unshielded and some will be shielded.

BEST ANSWER: The 4 twisted pairs can be unshielded in each line run. The thing that makes it shielded is the drain wire and/or foil shield being incorporated as a “ninth connection” to a common ground. It does so by the metal housing on CAT 5e and higher cables’ connector. So to simply state it, yes, you can use both shielded cables and unshielded cables with this hub. This hub meets both specs. Yes. The shields are clamped to a common bar. You can still clamp the unshielded cable to the bar.

Is the Monoprice Entegrade Series Cat6A 19in 1U Patch Panel, Shielded, 24-port Dual IDC rated for PoE? And what PoE standards will provide?

BEST ANSWER: The patch panels (with the use of a connecting patch cable) is essentially just a bump in the wire. There is no reason that PoE could not be passed through. It is the same as sending PoE through a keystone jack.

Can I use CAT8 on this patch panel? Like this product? https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=41483

BEST ANSWER: Technically, yes. You may not get the 2000Mhz of bandwdith as per the Cat8 standard, though.
You'd be better served getting a keystone panel, terminating your Cat8 with a keystone jack, and clipping the jack into the keystone panel. This would better ensure the entire run stays at Cat8 standards and can satisfy the 2000Mhz requirement.
