This cable works perfectly, but it is very heavy. It's 1/2" in diameter and so heavy it pulls my DVI switch off of the desk. I guess when I saw a 24AWG cable I expected it to be fairly light and flexible. Looks very well constructed and very durable.
Great high quality cable. Needed Dual-Link DVI cable for 30" display. Most DVI-D cables are not Dual-Link so not every pin in plug is populated and give awful fuzzy text. This cable worked great but it is huge and kind of stiff. That makes it harder to route. Once you get it bent properly it will stay on position. Wish they had a Dual-Link cable with thinner wires.
This cable is thick, as thick as a heavy duty extension cord. The ferrite cores on both ends of the cable were too big to fit through the base of the monitor with the monitors power cord. In fact, the power cord was about half the thickness
Great cable, super thick, picture is a bit deceiving
So this cable is seriously around 5/8" diameter. You def can't immediately tell that from the picture, but when it shows up, its like, damn, this is a serious dvi cable. Anyways it worked fine in my situation, and is actually pretty flexible considering its thickness, but seriously, just make sure a super thick dvi cable will work in your application. On the plus side, Im guessing its shielded fairly well. Its worked absolutely perfect for me.
PROS: Carries signal well, no prob running 2560x1440 or 1920x1080 with it. Good quality cable just unexpectedly super thick.
This is a beast of a cable. I was expecting some run of the mill DVI cable for my extended desktop. What I got is a massive half inch to three quarter inch diameter DVI cable. I don't think I'm going to have to worry about this thing ever wearing out. Picture with this thing is pristine!
