Does this work with the larger Coleman green gas canisters?
    Monte M on Sep 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. You need a camp fuel bottle like this:

does this stove work inverted for better cold weather operations?
    A shopper on Aug 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. It does not have a preheat loop so it flames up inverted. Might be able to invert after its hot but it still sputtered.
Is this the same as the Olicamp xcelerator stove? It sure looks the same
    Will M on Jan 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would agree. It does look the same. It works really nice too. I got this for a gift, but I played around with it and it's well worth the price.

    Wide flame and stable.
This stove give you a nice wide flame, unlike most stoves out there. But still the flame will not be wider than any reasonable pot or pan for backpacking.

The legs give a stable base. The flame control knob is very precise in my experience.

Obviously, you will need a wind break.

For me, personally, I would prefer if the hose screwed off for packing. That is the only reason I knocked off a star.

A great stove for the price
A great stove for the price, but it isn't quite as fuel efficient as some of my others.

Great backpacking stove at good price
I like this stove because it is wide and stable and has a low center of gravity when your pot is placed on top. I cook and simmer a lot in the pot when I am in the backcountry, and this stove worked great for that. If you only need to boil water to put into those freeze-dried "meal in a bag" things then it might not matter as much which stove you choose. I used it for a 3 day trip this week with no problems. Cable is nice and flexible and easily wraps around the stove for storage.

    Very good value
Very compact yet stable with large pans. Lots of heat . Low simmer could be better. All in all this was a great value.

    Good system for the price
Good system for the price. It is a bit weak on the leg stands but for the price it is a great lightweight stove.

    A good idea but
Originally, I thought this was a good buy for the price. I think it makes a better compact camping stove then a backpack stove. Reason being, the specific type of fuel canister needed to fuel the stove in not refillable and must be pack out even though empty which actually takes more room than the stove itself. Better recommendation would be to upgrade to the $25 stove which is multi fuel and can utilize refillable fuel containers.
