why are the batteries not mentioned or their availability. what good is a flashlight without the batteries?
    A shopper on May 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Description now says one 18650 Lithium battery (not included)
What are the expected run times, for each mode, using a battery with the recommended capacity of 2600mAh?
    Andrew M B on May 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your inquiry. Please see the run times below:
    High-beam: 2-3 Hours
    Medium-beam: 4-6 hours
    Low-beam: 15 hours
    Strobe: 4 hours
    SOS: 6-8 Hours
Is this zoomable? Can you focus the beam from wide to narrow to zoom in on a subject?
    A shopper on Oct 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, it doesn't zoom. It's center spot is so bright, it really doesn't need to zoom.
    Can it take a 26650?
Miguel OR Erin G on Mar 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, because a 26650 is 26 mm in diameter (vs. 18 mm in diameter for a 18650), so it won't fit. Both batteries are 65 mm long.
Will this flashlight work with both flat and button top 18650 batteries?
    A shopper on Oct 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will work with both style.
    How is the battery recharged?
    Allan Z on May 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You need an external separate battery charger.
Can this light be locked out by slightly unscrewing the batter cap?
    New User U on Jun 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You can lock out the button switch by unscrewing to the first “O Ring”. That should retain some of the waterproofing but maybe not to IPX8.
I have had no luck . After installing the battery and screwing the battery cover tight the green button has no affect, either fully pushed or half push. What is going on? Original purchase 05 Nov, replacement arrived 06 Dec with the same issues
    Wm. L. Smith.
    william s on Dec 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You probably have the battrery in backwards or the battery isn't charged or you haven't screwed the base in fully.
Can I use higher mAh batteries in this light (3800mAh)?
    ROBERTO J R on May 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the mAH just means how long the light will stay on. As long at it is an 18650 labeled battery then the voltage will be correct and the flashlight will operate normally. FYI you can use smaller mAH batterys to, it will just not stay on as long.

    Great value.
Compared it with a name brand 750 lumem light and it appears to be slightly brighter. Works well and will test its durability on my boat. Much cheaper than other brands.

    Cheap and bright
Excellent light output for the price. The light cycles through 5 modes (bright, medium, low, strobe, SOS) with a half-press of the button. Full press turns it on and off. Only problem, a full press also counts as a half press, so if you are on Low and turn it off, the next time you turn it on it will be on strobe. I wish it either remembered what output you were on, or simply started every time on bright and let you cycle back down through the modes.

    Nice and bright
I wanted a light that would use some 18650 batteries that I have. I bought a 2-cell light from eBay, but was disappointed by the low brightness of the beam. Then I saw this one and decided to give it a try. This flashlight is much brighter than the other one, despite using one cell instead of two. I also like that the Monoprice light is made of metal around 0.1" thick, much sturdier than most flashlights, and very high quality, even including the lanyard.

Great light at amazing price if you already have 18650 Li batteries
This light is bright and well made, plus waterproof, so good for my bicycle. However, a safe, current limited 18650 battery is about $15 plus charger.

Good flashlight to have for $10
Great flashlight in general. The build quality is definitely good. It is bigger than I expected. Reminds me of the old school style flashlight with upgrade bulbs and features.

However it's not as bright as my fenix 960 lumen flashlight. This does have a bit more of a focus beam and the bulb is more white than my fenix. There is definitely a hot spot vs an all flood. For $10 it's definitely worth it.

Why did I buy this? Simply cause it was on sale, had $5 of $25 and because I really like flashlight. And 1050ljmrns for $10. How can I say no. :)

Slot of power from a small flashlight.
Best flashlight I ever had. It can light up up the whole neighborhood. Great coverage and no dark spots.

    Needs a battery
Great flashlight but if you're going to sell a flashlight with an oddball battery, monoprice should also sell the battery

    Does not work
Ordered this flashlight and some batteries from Amazon. It would have been nice if Monoprice also offered the batteries and charger, but... I fully charged the batteries. The flashlight simply did not work. rechecked the batteries using a multi-tester. No go.
I told Monoprice about it and they finally sent a replacement flashlight. This one only worked intermittently. Now it doesn't work at all. Batteries are still fully charged.
When it worked it was a nice light, but that was only for a few short times.

Greast light, requires battery and charger.
Great light. Nice features and very bright. Be aware that you're going to spend a few bucks on a rechargeable battery and the required charger, but overall, for the price, it was worth it. I haven't yet decided where to carry it, car or home.

    Well made light
Nice flashlight. Wish it came with a battery. The flashlight looks very well made and the switch seems solid. I hope we can get many years of use out of it. The shipping experience was not as good
