Get a longer lasting, safe, and affordable alternative to incandescent or CFL light bulbs using this 6-Pack of 8-watt A19 LED Bulbs from Monoprice!
This LED bulb uses only 8 watts of power, but produces 630 lumens of light energy at 6000K, equivalent to a standard 40-watt incandescent bulb. It uses the E26 "medium" Edison screw base, which is the standard home screw-in bulb type we're all used to. This indoor bulb is 2.4" in diameter and 5.1" tall and has an 85 ~ 265 VAC operating range.
The bulb features a shatter resistant polycarbonate lens, which is designed to withstand ordinary drops and falls, and a 100% aluminum heat sink. It uses the superior Epistar diodes, is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use before failure, and carries a three year replacement warranty.
The bulb generates light in the 6000K range (Color Rendering Index greater than 80) with an impressive beam angle of 270°, which is a cool, bluish light that is perfect for high-visibility illumination needs, such as in a workshop or bathroom. This bulb is not designed to be dimmable. While it may be physically dimmed in some light fixtures, doing so can damage the bulb's internal circuitry and severely reduce its expected life span.
Each order includes six, individually packaged bulbs.
Monoprice warrants these bulbs for a full THREE (3) YEARS and will provide a new replacement for any bulbs that fail due to defects in materials or workmanship during the warranty period.
PROS: Produces a bright daylight like light in a room
cheap for LED bulbs
CONS: Takes a couple seconds to fire up (just a couple not a huge deal)
CONS: More Expensive Than Incandescents
PROS: Bright white lighting effect, daylight 6000K, 8 watts and 630 Lumens. Actual wattage by portable watt meter is 7.2 watts. Bright as 1,100 Lumens,18 watt CFL. Sale price of $27.99 for package of six was a great deal.
PROS: Nice quailty, real look, well made feeling
CONS: Besides a split second delay there isn't any.
I wouldn't put them on a dimmer at all, even if you aren't going to use the dimmer function. I don't know if the dimmer is bad or if it's just the nature of the combo, but I've had a few bulbs die very quickly and one even started sizzling/producing smoke until I removed it from the housing. I've since changed to a regular switch and all is well so far.
Cool white colour
CONS: Had one (of eight) start sizzling and produce smoke.
Small delay until they turn on (1s)
