270° 8-Watt (40W Equivalent) A 19 LED Bulb, 630 Lumens, Warm/ Soft (2900K) - Non-Dimmable
Get a longer lasting, safe, and affordable alternative to incandescent or CFL light bulbs using this 8-watt A19 LED Bulb from Monoprice!
This LED bulb uses only 8 watts of power, but produces 630 lumens of light energy at 2900K, equivalent to a standard 40-watt incandescent bulb. It uses the E26 "medium" Edison screw base, which is the standard home screw-in bulb type we're all used to. This indoor bulb is 2.4" in diameter and 5.1" tall and has an 85 ~ 265 VAC operating range.
The bulb features a shatter resistant polycarbonate lens, which is designed to withstand ordinary drops and falls, and a 100% aluminum heat sink. It uses the superior Epistar diodes, is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use before failure, and carries a three year replacement warranty.
The bulb generates light in the 2900K range (Color Rendering Index greater than 80) with an impressive beam angle of 270°, which generates the kind of soft and warm feeling that is perfect for most home lighting needs. This bulb is not designed to be dimmable. While it may be physically dimmed in some light fixtures, doing so can damage the bulb's internal circuitry and severely reduce its expected life span.
Monoprice warrants these bulbs for a full THREE (3) YEARS and will provide a new replacement for any bulbs that fail due to defects in materials or workmanship during the warranty period.
PROS: Good customer support, at first.
CONS: Fails after a few hundred hours. Inconsistent color temperatures. After repeated failures, customer support was reluctant to replace bulbs.
My recommendation. DON'T PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT. CHEAP PRICE=CHEAP QUALITY.
PROS: Cheap cost. Energy saver.
CONS: Didn't last long as advertised. Died after one year of use.
PROS: Cheep price
CONS: Had one go out in less then a week now just waiting to see how long the other ones last .
PROS: - Price is one of the lowest I've seen
- Efficient ( uses only 8 watts )
CONS: - Slight delay when turned on
- Quality control issues : Feels cheaply made and bulb malfunctioned after 6 months of use.
CONS: still too white
PROS: LED power savings.
Good price point.
CONS: LED bulb is just a little longer than standard bulbs which if placed in a fixture along side existing standard bulbs may look a little odd. It really isn't more than say 3/8". So unless length of bulb is crucial to your fixture, this should work fine.
it is long though, if the fixture is not deep enough the bulb sticks out
