    Monoprice AA/AAA Battery Charger (Ni-MH & Ni-Cd)

Charge your Ni-MH and Ni-Cd AA and AAA batteries using this AA/AAA Battery Charger from Monoprice!

This portable charger is capable of simultaneously charging 2 or 4 AA or AAA Ni-MH or Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries. It features easy-to-monitor LED indicators that glow red during charging, then glow green when charging is complete. The charger has a trickle charge feature, which keeps the batteries "topped up" when left in the charger after full charging is complete.

The charger has several safety features, which protect you, your batteries, and the charger from injury or damage. It will automatically stop charging after 10 hours of continuous charging. It can detect when a battery has been inserted the wrong way and will prevent charging until the direction is correction. Additionally, it has a 0 Voltage Jumpstart feature, which allows it to charge batteries that have been completely depleted, something that many other chargers cannot accomplish.

The charger comes with a non-polarized NEMA 1-15 two-blade plug and is compatible with input voltages from 100 ~ 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. The following chart shows the approximate charging times for batteries of various sizes and types:

    Great charger!
I used this to recharge batteries for my soap dispenser. The soap dispenser was going through batteries every couple of months so I though, why not go with rechargeable batteries! Surprisingly, these batteries lasted way longer than the regular alkaline batteries I used. Overall, great product....albeit, I've only charged the batteries twice since I bought it (and it's been months)

The trickle charge feature is great for keeping batteries topped up without overcharging them. the downside is that it can't charge single batteries, this is mostly a non-issue in my usage, but worth noting. the other bonus is that it can use 100-240V so you can take it overseas no problem. overall a great all-around charger!

PROS: trickle charge, folding prongs & charging light

    CONS: can't charge single batteries

    works well
The 0 voltage jumpstart feature really works, it charged some abandoned batteries that my old charger could not. It gets 5 stars just for that.

PROS: great quality and features for the price

CONS: Charging speed is just average, I like to charge them a little faster even if it's harder on the batteries.

    Works great!
I have several blue tooth Mac peripherals (mouse, keyboard, numeric key pad) that all use AA batteries and was disappointed that the Apple charger only handles 2 batteries at time. This charger handles 4 batteries simultaneously and handles both AA and AAA sizes. It is much more efficient and was a better buy. So far I am very satisfied with the performance. Thanks!!

It has been taking more than 13 hours to charge 4 AA and 4 AAA batteries. All batteries were new last year. I have 2 separate chargers going in 2 different locations. After about 5 hours, I have unplugged them because they are extremely hot to the touch. I plug them back in after a few hours of cooling off. I see that the chargers can be used for 10 continuous hours but it makes me too nervous to leave them in when they get so hot. Both battery types are Ni-MH and 300 mAh. According to the chart on the package, I'm figuring these should have fully charged by now. Still have solid red charging light, not flashing. Why is this taking so long? Thank you for any help.
