Is this a typo? Frequency Response20Hz ~ 10kHz? I would hope ear buds reach frequencies past 10kHz

BEST ANSWER: I don't know what the actual spec is but I'll tell you they sound almost as good as my Sennheiser HD280's. IMHO that's pretty good. Don't be a slave to that last octave. There's a lot less program up there than people think. Lastly they're $10, $7 on sale. How far wrong can you go?

    Try 'em you'll like 'em.

Will these work with an Xbox one?
    Edward W on Jan 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, if you have the newer version of the controller. There are two versions. The older one doesn't have the 3.5mm jack on the bottom of it, it has a proprietary connection that looks a little like an HDMI port (it isn't one, but that is roughly the shape). To use it with that one, you'd have to have either the headset connector piece, or something like the keyboard that plugs into the proprietary jack and allows a 3.5mm cable to fit. The newer controllers come with a 3.5mm jack on the bottom, which this would fit into just fine. As to whether the mic is going to sound good enough to communicate and be understood during online games . . . meh, you can get gaming headsets for like 15 bucks that would do the job much much better,, but if you just want to hear the game through the headset, these would work great, and I use them regularly for that.
Does this come with different size earbud tips?
    A shopper on Dec 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does, it comes with 3 pairs of different sized tips

MIght be my new favorite pair of MP earbuds
I love Monoprice. I have had maybe a dozen of their headphones at some time or another. My favorite so far has been the 13801 model.
For $5 less, these are almost the same quality, with some added bonuses. Cord seems nice and durable, though not as tangle resistant and tough as the 13801's, and without the jack at a right angle. The bass I think is actually a little better, though you maybe lose out in the mid range (they're also a little quieter). The best part is that the inline pause / play button is easy to press. The 13801s button is next to impossible to get to register a press, an obnoxious quirk that makes them hard to recommend.
All in all though, if I had to buy all my headphones again I'd probably put this at the top. The sound quality of the 13801s aren't quite worth the extra 5 bucks, and with this you get a pause/play button that actually works. I'm positive these could go toe to toe with earbuds that cost 8 or 10 times as much.

PROS: Deep, full bass, good mid tones too
    Design is actually pretty gorgeous
Mic is great and button is good for skipping / pausing songs

CONS: Large drivers are definitely large and fit a little funny in your ear
Cord isn't as nice and tangle resistant as other earbuds
Sound quality in the mid range isn't as good as the 13801 (which are only $5 more)

    A steal for the price
I've had the large driver earbuds for about a year or so now and I love 'em. It has a multipurpose use for me because I use it as a "headset" to talk to friends on Discord or listen to music and I also use it with my iPhone 6 when I'm out on the go.

PROS: The bass has such a great low/mid-range punch to it, the sound itself is very clear and has no distinct muffle. Microphone works great and everyone has told me the mic quality sounds good. The 3.5mm connector is slim so it can fit in the tightest of phone cases.

CONS: None. This is a solid purchase for what you get.

    Comparison Review
I purchased the following earbuds: 13801, 8321, 13879, 10153 and 14088 (this item) to do some comparison work. Here are my comments, starting off with the best.

13801 - Hands down the winners. Well worth the couple of extra bucks. Only pair with a flat cord, and 90deg plug, (both pluses in my book). The play/pause button is adequate. Sound is very well balanced. High sensitivity so they can play louder if desired and can be used with a Y splitter if people are sharing a single jack. Frequency response is very wide.

10153 - These are bass heavy and are lacking in highs. The cord is terrible. Play/pause button marginally better than the 13801. Sound wise these are probably the second best on the list but that cord is terrible.... thin and tangles easily.

14088 - Exact opposite from the 10153. Crystal clear highs and mids, but little bass. This is surprising since they are the largest pair of the group. Cord is not quite as good as the 13801, but WAY better than the 10153. The play/pause button is lacking and can be difficult to work. Overall, these are not bad, but I feel they will cause serious ear fatigue due to their emphasis on high frequencies.

13879 - These are the budget choice. They are well balanced, but lack in both frequency response and sensitivity compared to the winning 13801. The cord is identical to the 14088 and play/pause button is as good as the 10153, so the best of both worlds. If you are looking for decent earbuds for the kids, get these and save a couple of bucks.. For any other use, the 13801s are by far the better choice.

8321 - These look similar (just different color) to the 13879, but are WAY different. The cord is garbage like on the 10153. They don’t have a play/pause button. The sound quality is not good. They have almost no bass and poor frequency response and sensitivity. These are last place for sure.

    Big sound from these buds.
Yet another Monoprice headphone that impresses. Big bass, clear highs, all around terrific sound. The dual driver buds from Monoprice in my opinion are similar in sound but more clear in the lows and mids, but that's obviously just my opinion. For under $10 you can't go wrong with these.

Can't be beat for the price
I recently bought these to take to the gym. For the price I think the sound is amazing. I have bought lots of 5-$10 headphones to take to the gym encase i lose them or break them, and they all sound pretty bad. These sound more like the $30 skull candy headphones I have bought before but only cost $10!!! Thanks for the great product monoprice!

Lots of bass... unfortunately, not much else
These earphones were a real disappointment. After the reflective 12235's I was expecting big things for these... There is a lot of bass, but no mid-tone presence. They sound thin and tinny. I would avoid these and get the 12235's they are fantastic.

    PROS: Lots of bass

    CONS: Nothing else.

    Intermitten shakiness in sound
I got these about two weeks back. Although the first few days were good, but it wasn't long before the sound started to break intermittently. This might be due to cheap build or a defective piece. But definitely something that i am not happy with and something that monoprice could improve on and place only sturdy products in their product line.

    PROS: Good sound
    Good treble
    respectable bass
    good mic

CONS: Broke within the first two weeks.
    Shaky sound at times.
    sound breaks intermittently

Amazing sound for a great price!
I bought a set of these along with another Monoprice set (12236)
for my wife after she had bought a far more expensive Sony set from Best Buy -- and instantly returned it for being too tinny. (She returned the Sony one to best Buy, not the Monoprice one, of course.)

After listening to both sets ( and being torn because they both sound great, although different) she decided to keep the 12236, while I kept this set for myself. Together, they still only cost a fraction of the much poorer Sony one.

Both sets sound amazing. Both have satisfying bass and good treble. Mid-tones maybe a bit less, but seriously, that's just nitpicking, they really are great.

And both sets came with extra tips sizes (which wasn't clear from the description).

    One of the best owned
Great sound, really good bass, look good, and don't break easily because they're metal.

    PROS: Great bass.
