    Super product/Super price
All the functionality of higher priced devices at a much more reasonable price.

PROS: Very happy with this device. WiFi to smart phone is a cool +

CONS: I don't see any. Monoprice sells an adapter for all GoPro accessories for under $10 shipped

Impressed with the quality of the strap ... as well as liked the lining that gives it just enough tack to stay in place when mounting. Unless I am missing something, it appears that you need to use the Swivel T-Tip Mount? Unlike the chest strap that can go direcly on the smaller stock mount on the waterproof case? Two cons I found when needing to use the swivel mount ... the mount could not be adjusted properly (low enough angle to view) on the helmet before a pinch point ... and also, it make the camera protrude out unnecessarily far in my opinion. It would get a little heavy on my sons head and also you can feel it every time you try to turn your head. I would like to try using this again if there are some tips to share .. unfortunately, attempting to use one of the adhesvie mounts that came with the camera only lasted about an hour on the ski hill before it popped off and was no longer sticky. Fortunately, I had the teather strapped to my sons helmet so the camera wasn't lost and the chest strap used as a back up..

PROS: Solid material. Able to strap to head or helmet securely and comfortably.

CONS: Requires the use of the Swivel T-Tip mount

    Works well with baseball caps
I can see this falling off quiet easily unless it's attached to a baseball cap that's already a tight fit on your head during high action, but that's the nature of the beast in this case with head mounts. Head mounts are never the best way to secure your camera during high action, it's more for chilling, hiking, conventions and other activities that don't require you to move around a lot.

PROS: Works well with baseball caps

CONS: Not the best for other things

    Needs T-Adapter and huge buckle
There are two significant downsides to this strap: first, it requires the use of the T-Adapter, which makes the camera stick out about 1" - 1" 1/2 and that causes it to bounce a bit too much. On the flip side, I guess you can adjust the angle of the camera, although you have to put the camera upside-down as the adapter-release lever interferes with the strap-mount lever.

Second, the buckle MonoPrice chose to put on this headband is fairly large and not a low-profile one like you can find on the GoPro, which does make wearing it on the head somewhat uncomfortable.

I think the chest strap might be a more comfortable solution - I would explore that before the head strap, unless you're absolutely sure you can deal with its limitations.

PROS: You can wear the camera on your head

CONS: Requires the use of T-Adapter (included with the camera) uses a buckle too large to wear comfortably on the head

    Hard to tighten sufficiently
The strap seems well made, but it is very hard to get it adjusted tight enough to keep the camera in place when doing action sports. I lost my brand new camera the fourth day I had it because of this strap - it loosened as I rode and then fell off and the camera sank into the lake. I'm quite bummed because I think I got some good pictures and I lost it in 10 meters of water!

PROS: Strap appears to be of high quality material

    Nonslip coating on strap

CONS: Hard to angle camera down - mount wants camera to point up when camera is angled all the way down

Hard to tighten properly - adjuster conflicts with latch

Lost camera in lake first time I used it due to inability to properly tighten

    Response from Monoprice
    Hello Chris P,

Thank you for your review on PID 10635. My apologies for the inconvenient experience you have faced with this head mount. If interested, we do offer a camera floaty to attach to the camera. Please see PID 10632 for that:

Just to verify, can you confirm which part loosened on the mount exactly? Did any parts on the mount appear to break? Please send pictures of the part(s) if needed. Also, were you able to retrieve the camera from the lake? Please let me know so we can best assist you with this issue. Thank you in advance!
