    Good Cam Mount
My first use for my new MHD camera and this mount was a 4,000 mile driving vacation. This mount was very easy to attach to the inside of the windshield. The size is compact enough my vision was not dangerously impaired. The mount is easily adjusted so the angle of the camera is "level".

The connector for the camera is loose. The camera wiggles within the cam mount itself. In addition to the unavoidable road vibration this caused videos to be unviewable. I had a plastic tooth pick handy and pushed that into the mount/camera connector which held the camera steady in the mount. Once this problem was solved the videos captured were very good. Even the road vibration was not at all disturbing when viewing the videos which is a compliment to this mount.

    PROS: Easy to mount

    Easy to adjust

    Good price

CONS: The connector for the camera is loose fitting.

    Dash Cam Suction Cup mount
I bought this mount to use on my boat. I wanted to use this suction cup on the bow of the boat, having the camera face forward. However, it will not - it will always be angled slightly down. It does work as intended though - which is mounting it to a windshield, having the camera face forward. It just seems that it would not have been very difficult to have the mount be able to angle the camera parallel with the mounting surface. If you are looking for a suction cup mount to put on a flat surface and aim straight forward, then look elsewhere.

    PROS: -Price.

-Works well if mounted to a surface that is angled (like a windshield).

CONS: -Camera cannot be mounted parallel to mounting surface.

-As others have stated, the camera does rattle a little bit while on the mount - it should be a tighter connection.

-It stayed on my windshield for about 30 minutes, then fell.

Camera can't be parallel to mounting surface
No matter the good attributes of this suction cup mount, it's somewhat useless for a dash cam setup. The camera can't be aimed properly due to the angle of the mount and the lack of flexibility. I just can't get a good angle from the dashboard or the top of the glass.

    A Little Loose
On time-lapse mode, you don't notice the camera isn't tightly attached to the mount. Otherwise, it just isn't snug. Might see if I can modify it or wrap it with something to keep it snug.

PROS: It sucks real good. :)

Ball joint for pointing the camera whatever angle you need.

CONS: The connection to the camera is not tight and the camera will wobble around a bit.

How to fix the loose attachment
To fix this, just put a thin piece of paper between the suction attachment and the camera body. Then put the attachment on and snap it into place. Then just rip the paper around the mount area. This then creates a solid mount and the camera doesn't shake. Kind of a pain, and if it gets wet, I bet it won't work, but it beats returning it or moving to a different camera altogether.

PROS: Super cheap compared to the competition.

CONS: The mount is pretty loose and it rattles which makes pretty much any other sound a background noise to the rattle. I have a fix though!

    Dash Cam Suction Mount Review
For the money the mount is descent. I would given it a rating of 10 if the camera didn't rattle in the mount. It was very distracting during playback. I ended up taking paper and sliding it between the mount and the camera to create a tighter fit.

PROS: Suction cup works very well. Mount articulates just enough to be effective.

CONS: The camera doesn't sit tight in the mount and rattles. This causes excessive noise and video instability.

Should be named WINDSHIELD mount, not DASH
Suction is good. Just realize the way the arm and ball joint work together, you will never have the camera parallel to the mount. It will not work on a dash or flat surface. Works fine on the windshield. Wish I read the reviews before ordering.

    PROS: cheap

CONS: not enough range of movement to be a universal mount for everywhere
