Is it possible to remove and put the top part of the case back easily?

BEST ANSWER: If you are referring to the foam liner in the lid, it can be easily removed. If you mean the lid itself, it is held in place by a metal pin in each of the two hinges. It may be possible to tap the pins out with a small screwdriver and hammer.

No. It appears that the hinges of the lid are held in place by metal pins that have been pressed into the plastic on one end. They are not intended to be removed.

The top doesn't come off easily. You would have to drive the pins out of the hinge.

Can you please give the dimensions of the pieces of foam that comes in the case? I love the size, but need to replace the foam with closed cell for water resistance needs.

Are the interior dimensions taking into account pre-installed foam?

What is the best way to attach (via adhesives, one would think) metal brackets or plastic brackets inside? Does epoxy stick to this kind of case? This would be used to mount radios, batteries and other hardware for an in-place (open cover, connect antenna and operate) deployment - portable station. If it MUST be drilled for this, what is a good way to seal around mounting hardware to retain the IP67 capabilities?

Really solid, well constructed case
This case is rock solid. I am very impressed with the quality. The hinges and latches especially are well made, and seem like they will last a long time. This fit my needs perfectly.

Great solid case for universal use
The case looks very solid and I like the size, not too large and heavy and not too small. It can hold couple 15" laptops or several guitar pedals+ a floor processor all protected by foam sheets while moving around or shipping. Highly recommend especially at the sale price.

Great Option...Pelican WHO????
I bought this to carry a rather expensive piece of music equipment, and it turned out to be a fantastic option. The piece of equipment can be ordered with "suggested" cases by other "name brand" case makers, and I'm sure they are good cases. BUT, they also cost 2-3 times as much as this case, and I doubt the quality of those name-brand cases is 2-3 times as good as the Pure Outdoor case is.

I've used this several times to carry my Yamaha MG16 mixer. It is sturdy and works great! the foam is easy to get sized to make a tight fit. I ever put in places under the mixer for several mics and the power cord.

So far, I'm satisfied with the purchase. It's a little heavier than I would have liked, and the foam is not as high quality as some competitors, but I went with the lower cost alternative, and got what I expected.
It arrived in good condition, and hinges/latches seem to work fine.
I use it more for organization than travel, so the weight is not a huge issue, and the foam is good enough.
I do wish the customizable foam pieces were more cubed than the long pieces so that depth is more customizable.
