Questions and Answers
I tried this with a small Sony HD Camcorder (HDR-CX360) and it seems to work very well. It took only a few minutes to balance the camera on it, and I was able to start shooting some video.
The Stabilizer is of very good quality and all the pieces fit very well together. I'm quite happy with my purchase.
PROS: Relatively easy to balance camera on the stabilizer
Much cheaper than other alternatives
Much easier than to make your own
Nice comfortable grip
Sturdy, quality built
CONS: No cons at this point.
PROS: Great low cost product, compact
CONS: not the greatest angle of rotation but still works. Poor poor threads.
PROS: Simple, lightweight, easy to pack, fully adjustable. amazing results
CONS: None for this price
This product represents a great valuereasonable price and good quality. I'm still in the process of trying it out more.
PROS: Sturdy. Well finished.
CONS: A bit heavier than expected.
PROS: Solid build quality
CONS: Only for small cameras
PROS: Overall the unit seems well designed and solid for the price.
CONS: The one con so far could be a deal breaker - not sure yet. The "ball pivot" seems very lightweight and a possible weak spot. It is probably replacable by something better from a local photography shop, but it shouldn't hurt the manufacturer to beef up this all important piece. More of an issue with DSLRs than super lightweight camcorders. I'm sure.
CONS: i mean it smells bad. Like a old Chinese steel factory.
Thank you for your review on PID 12276! I apologize for the smell issue experienced with this stabilizer. I have submitted a complaint regarding this so we can look into it further. If I may ask, can we try airing out the stabilizer over night to see if the smell improves at all? Please let me know you results so we can best assist you. We truly appreciate your time and feedback!
