Good sturdy clip but very limited angles
This is a good sturdy clip that will screw into any standard tripod or tripod attachment. Obviously, it can rotate with the screw. However, it can't angle at all. It's hard-wired to be angled straight up. Therefore, it's only usable in certain circumstances. I'm a little disappointed, since this isn't clear from the photos or description. For the price, sure, it's great and sturdy and does its job. But I hope Monoprice comes out with a better one that can be angled in more usable directions.

Also note, my iPhone 6 Plus barely fits into it. It fits, but it makes me a little nervous that the spring could spring and send my iPhone flying. It should be fine for any smaller phones, but I wouldn't use this on the 6 Plus outdoors on a windy day.

    PROS: Sturdy, cheap, great value

CONS: Not angle-able. Slightly small for an iPhone 6 Plus (but should be fine for any smaller phones).

    Great tool
Sturdy clamp that will securely hold your smartphone or more. The plastic feels a little hard and brittle, but is showing no signs of weakness. Overall, I really like this thing, I used it with a gorilla pod type mount as a dashboard mount on a long road trip, worked pretty good.

My cons list above are just little things that don't really detract from the unit, just things to be aware of for use.

    PROS: Strong clamp. Firm grip.

CONS: A little hard/awkward to open, but not too bad. Mounts at a weird angle, but that doesn't really matter. No slots for buttons.

    Useful tool
I have used this several times to capture still footage or log exposure images on my phone (Lumia 1020) does the job well, can be a bit tricky as the clamp pushes the phones buttoned on the edge, the volume, power etc. A bit of adjustment when placing the phone in the clamp and you will be fine.

    PROS: Small and light
Made to be versatile and clamps around large phones and small phones

CONS: When attached to a tripod, it is angled oddly...
Clamps around the edge and can push the phones buttons.

With a free iPhone app to do Timp Lapse I needed a clip to get the phone on a tripod. The cheapest I saw (and it looked cheap) was more than $20.00, then something told me to check Monoprice and lo and behold this little gem popped up. Well built and attaches to the phone and tripod securely. Didn't need a ball head or mini tripod for the angle shooting clouds, it was perfect. Forget the reviewers that "whine" you're not going to find anything close the the price/construction cause I've looked. I should have checked with Monoprice first, next time I will.

PROS: fits the iPhone 4s perfectly, well made, great price.

CONS: Doesn't swivel but with a small ball head or tripod (10272) it's still less than $10.00.

    Great little clamp
I see a lot of reviewers bashing this product because it doesn't change angle but in fact, it's because of this that this little clamp is very sturdy and built well. For those that need swivel action, i bought mine in conjuction with PID item 10272 which has a swiveling head so... problem solved. If you have a ball-joint or if Monoprice starts selling them (hopefully), the approach is the same. If you think outside the box, you can use this for many other items too. I was impressed when i found that it will hold my little ISAW camera. Now i have access to the A/V output to monitor the scene while on a tripod. Something that was hidden on the ISAW by the enclosure.

PROS: Attaches to a tripod, grip is secure

    CONS: None

    Great Solution for iPhone Videos
Serious golfers have various apps on the iPhone that allow video comparison to other swings to analyze what might be off in our own swings. There is no tripod adapter on an iPhone and this was perfect. A quick simple solution for a tripod mount.

    PROS: Simple

    Easy to Use

    CONS: None

    Fits a Nokia Lumia 920
Holds my Nokia Lumia 920 between the power and shutter buttons without blocking the camera lens. Solid grip without being over-extended. Have used with a flexible tripod to secure phone in place.

    PROS: Sturdy design

    Strong spring

    CONS: -

Must use with Higher End Tripod
This holds my iPhone 6s with case at a strange 75 to 80 degree angle. I have decent tripods to I just put the tripod into portrait mode and it's good to go. Great for those time lapse videos.

PROS: Holds iPhone 6s in Catalyst waterproof Case ( http://www.catalystcase.com/collections/catalyst-case-for-iphone-6s )
SHOULD hold iPhone 6s Plus without a case

CONS: Tripod must be able to turn to take portrait orientation.
Does not hold iPhone 6s Plus in Otterbox Defender case

    Nice little iPhone clamp
Have been looking for an iPhone clamp to do some timelapse video with my 4S and came across this mount. Clearly a whole lot cheaper than what else is out there on the web. Will definitely do the job and you just can't beat the price.

PROS: Well constructed, nice spring action, fits with or without case, Price.

    CONS: None for the price,

Will this fix a Galaxy Note 3 IN an otterbox case?
Will this fix a larger phone, like the Galaxy Note 3 IN a Otterbox case?

would you consider making a larger clamp, for larger phones, if this one isn't suffecient
