OK for price, lots of plastic
Review is based of initial inspection of the tripod. For the price you can't really fault it. The plastic extendable portion which must support the camera does make me a little nervous. I will have to wait until I mount a camera to see whether it is warranted or not.

    Specs on Manual
    3 Sections
    Folded Height: 21.7" (550mm)
    Min Height: 20.9" (530mm
    Non Center Height: 49.6" (1260mm)
    Max Height: 61.8" (1570mm)
    Weight: 2.8 lb (1.29 kg)
Load Capacity: 8.8 lbs (4.0 kg)

PROS: Light weight, cheap, better than using a Ball head to shoot video. Knob adjustable pan.

CONS: Extendable portion from tripods legs made of plastic. Knob using for raising and lowering the head is made of weak plastic. Requires an allen wrench to adjust tilt resistance.

    Amazing for the price
After shopping around, this was by far the best price on a tripod this size I could find. I've always been impressed with Monoprice's quality so I was confident this would be fairly sturdy. I haven't used it a ton yet, but I do love it so far. If you don't need a heavy duty tripod, this is definitely the one for you. I just have a Sony Cyber-shot, so I'm not sure how it does with large DLSR rigs, but for my small camera and light panel, it is perfect. And hey, if you get it and it doesn't meet your needs, Monoprice is the best when it comes to returns.

    PROS: Incredibly affordable

    Seems to be high quality

    Very adjustable

    CONS: None so far

    Best tripod for price
This is the best tripod for the price. Does exactly what it's supposed to and was cheapest one I could find. The crank seems a bit flimsy but other than that good product.

PROS: Decently priced and functional. Lightweight. Carrying case was a bonus.

    Great for price
Great product for the price it's advertised at. Got what I expected and that makes me happy! When I go to buy an entry level tripod I expect to pay an entry level price and Monoprice lets me do that. The Big box stores always have gotta make money on the accessories so their prices are always more than I would prefer to pay.

    PROS: Does what it promises

    CONS: Panning could be smoother.

its a good tripod, haven't had any issues with mine, and even bought one for my father. Its pretty sturdy that i trust putting my DSLR on it and its pretty stable.

    PROS: good price

CONS: packaging seems hit and miss, order 2 at separate times, one came with the carrying bag, and the second one did not.

Great tripod for my wife's first DLSR. Clamp and leg extensions are well built and durable. Overall quality is good and price is great.

    PROS: quality

It does what you'd expect it to.
This tripod is a very nice thing to have. I've used two other tripods that cost at least twice as much, and this one actually has a couple of better features than those did. The arm and turnkey adjustments for panning, height, angle, and portrait/landscape adjustment are very nice. It isn't recommended for shooting video that involves any type of panning, but it definitely gets the job done when it comes to simple shots. The only real problem is that the little level built into it is tough to see when you have the camera mounted. Take it off with the easy quick release, adjust, and you're good to get back to your shots. Or get a dedicated level for DSLR hot shoes if you aren't using additional lighting.

As usual, Monoprice is the absolute best when it comes to shipping. Always so speedy. Purchase a couple of these! You'll be happy.

    PROS: -Lightweight

    -Easy to adjust

-Easy to carry (especially with included bag)

CONS: Spirit level is hard to see when camera is attached.

    Great value!
I bought this tripod to keep in the trunk of my car so I am never without a tripod when I need one. I have however, found myself going to it again and again because its so light and reasonably strong for what I need it for. Keep in mind, I use my G7X as my everyday shooter and this works perfectly for it. I think its the value in price and its weight that I keep going back for it. I keep telling myself, "hey, if it breaks or if I forget it, I'll just get another oneor two or three" for the same price as my name brand tri-pods. It has never failed me. I have not tried it with my SLR and heavier lenses yet and, based on its weight, I'm not sure I would want this tripod to be that top-heavy. However for 90% of my shooting (urban, some outdoors) this works perfectly!

    PROS: Lightweight, low-cost

    CONS: None

    Great Value
It's a nice lightweight, cheap tripod. The only con is that the crank to raise the camera base is pretty flimsy. I can easily see myself breaking it soon, and for the time that I have used it the crank is so tiny that its usage is pretty... difficult? Uncomfortable? Annoying to use? Something like that. A different design would definitely improve it.

    PROS: Price, adjustability, height

    CONS: Questionable build quality
