Does this output at least 1.5A at all times? I know some reviews say it doesn't go up to 2.4A, but I only need at least 1.5.

BEST ANSWER: I can't say about the constant voltage. I use the charger to charge my Kindle Fire and Samsung cell phone . I can say that it gives a much faster charge than the supplied chargers for the Kindle and Samsung I hope this answers your question..
Is this product UL or CE listed?

Work for iPhone, and DROID not for Galaxy
These work perfectly for iPhones. I have tried them with 5S, 6 and 6S iphones and they have no issues working. However, these will not charge my Galaxy S5. I purchased three (3) of these and all yield the same result. There must be something that is keeping them from working with Galaxy S5. I tried two difference Galaxy S5's and neither would charge. I tried various USB cables, including the original Samsung cable and nothing works. Charger works on all other phones that I tried.

PROS: Work for iPhone, Motorola DROID

CONS: Does not charge Galaxy S5

    Works Great with Pi!
Bought this to meet the Amperage demand with my Pi 2 Model B. Works as expected and should be more than enough power for the pi and a good amount of USB devices

    Works well
I was looking for a set compact of 2A chargers that are UL Listed (safe, not the kind of cheap crap they sell in gas stations) and discovered this one. This delivers. It's a little fatter than I envisioned (takes up more room on a power strip, than Imwas expecting) and gets a little warm when charging an iPad, but otherwise it's ideal.

PROS: Delivers the 2+ amps I need. Foldable prongs.

    CONS: A little chunky

    Good charger. Good price.
A compact no frills 2.4A charger that looks good and works great. I hooked it up to a "Kill-A-Watt" and showed 1.2A draw on my iphone 6 and 2.4A on the ipad Air 2.

    PROS: -Compact size
    -Retractable plug
    -Works great with Apple products

    CONS: -None to report

    Good charger
This is a good charger, works fine, seems to be built well. I wish it charged at the full 1900mA, but I've yet to see a wall charger that works as well as the original Samsung one.

PROS: Well built, charges phone just fine.

CONS: Only charges Galaxy S4 at 1200mA. Original Samsung charger charges at 1900mA

    Great charger but not universal
The Select Series wall charger is hit-or-miss.
Quick Charge 2.0 peaks maximum current on all my devices.
OR stick with the OEM charger. It's bundled for a reason.

Tested with "Ampere" app. Multimeter not used. However, charging time comparisons show Ampere is accurate enough. Current changes as battery% charges/discharges. This is taken into consideration.

    -LG G3 (1.8A) 1A max
    +Galaxy Note 3 (1.9A) 1.9A max (Charging at 1.2A is normal. Amp will peak @ 1.9A around 70%
    +Galaxy S3 (1A) (1A)
-From the comments: Galaxy S4 seems to work but not for the Xperia Z3 and Note 4.

    PROS: -Low cost
    -max 2..4A
    -Retractable Plug
    -Portable cube shape

CONS: -Not max current for some phones

Good, but still too large to use on most power strips
Great charger, looks nice, but like 14578, the plug takes up too much space to work properly with other cords/chargers on a power strip vertically or horizontally.

PROS: Good charger, nice styling, foldable plug

CONS: Blocks using adjacent port on power strips.

    Decent charger
Like the form and the size. Output is lower than I would expect for 2.4A. Using the charger+cable that came with my xPeria Z3, I get about 1900mA. Using this charger and a 28/24 cable (PID5456) I get about 1000mA.

Still, low profile makes it decent for plugging in at the office, where I just need to stave off battery drain.

    PROS: Small, fold in prongs

    CONS: Lower than expected output

    Appears to be finicky
Doesn't work with my Galaxy Note 4. Tried four different cables and three different power outlets. No luck. It worked with a USB light and it worked with another, older phone. Not sure what the deal is with this thing.

    PROS: Puts out 2.4 amps

CONS: Doesn't work for charging some phones?

    Bought 2, only one worked
bought 2 of these to replace my HTC charger. The first one I tried did not work at all. The 2nd one did. first problem I have had with a monoprice product.

    PROS: Inexpensive

    CONS: didn't work
