What is phantom power on and off. Does it boost the signal going to the amplifier?
    A shopper on Aug 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Phantom power is the power provided to run condenser mics. If you are running dynamic mics it will not make any difference to the amp. That said condenser mics are more sensitive than most dynamic mics and have a better output range and so you may get a stronger return signal and in turn a little better performance from your amp. Also check that you are using the correct cable for audio, XLR not DMX which use the same plug but have a higher resistance thus reducing out-put power.
Are the outputs standard line outputs that can be run into a distribution amp to drive headsets? Or is an amplifier needed before the distribution amp?
    George R on Jun 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They are standard line outs so I believe they would work without an extra amp in between the mixer and the distribution amp, especially if it is just for headphones and they each have their own volume control on the dist. amp.
Are the TRS inputs stereo? Are there any stereo inputs?
    John M on Jan 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No they are not hence primarily used for microphones. You may use the stereo output from a device to the line input using a special cable from stereo to mono.
Can the unit work with 230V/50 AC mains power?
    A shopper on Nov 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not without a step-down transformer. The internal power supply is 120-V, 60Hz.
Can I, and how do I, daisy chain three mixers and then output to a TOA amp with a XLR Input?
    Donald M on Jun 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Plug an RCA cable from the first mixer's Prefader Out to the Aux Bus Input of the second. Plug an RCA from the second mixer's Prefade Output to the third Aux Bus Input. Plug the third mixer's Main XLR Out to the amp. 24ch Mic/Line Mixer.
Do the XLR and 1/4" TRS main outputs work simultaneously?
    A shopper on Feb 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, both outputs can be use simultaneously.
Does this unit supply 48v phantom power?
    A shopper on Jan 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the product page specs section and downloadable manual indicate the 8-Channel 1U Mic Line Rack Mixer with Phantom Power has 48V phantom power.
Re: 8-Channel 1U Mic Line Rack Mixer with Phantom Power. The description says "individual tone controls". Where? Can we see a more close-up photo?
    A shopper on Nov 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your interest in this rack mount mixer. If you look at the front shot of the mixer you will see the small knobs next to the big channel volume knobs. Those small knobs and the tone control for each channel.

Great for the price - Depends on your needs
Purchased this as a sub-mixer for recording a hand-bell choir. Six of the channels are XLR with 48v phantom which is what I needed. The bell choir is set up in a horseshoe with the director in the middle. I just needed volume controls for each of the 6 mics and this does the trick. It then feeds into an Allen and Heath 16 channel Whizmix. Sound on the recordings so far is great. If you want to hear it in action follow this link https://youtu.be/US9mpmQSHc8
This was my first recording using it and I was adjusting on the fly with no opportunity for a pre-service soundcheck. It still sounds very good. The mics I used with this are Audio-Technica AT2021 Cardioid Condenser Microphones.

    Good single output channel mixer
We got two of these mixes for some meeting spaces with an AV system that has multiple microphone and sound sources. We wanted something that had just a single knob for people to use. Prior to this mixer we had a traditional mixing board. We were constantly getting called in to fix something because someone had thrown the board off. Were just a week into using it and so far people love it for its simplicity. I wish this had a 3.5 mm input. We use an adapter to accommodate auxiliary inputs such as smart phones and tablets.

This mixer is a fine product. Very well thought out and manufactured. High and low impedance inputs and outputs (depending on which jack is used, XLR or phone),smooth level pots, and a great look.

Only one rack unit high, so I have exactly one rack unit left on my 5-R/U box!

Solid, well-built mixer with plenty of pro features!
WOW! I am impressed with the features presented (XLR connectors) and the OVERALL QUALITY of product. It has a nice look and a good feel with the knobs. It provides the quality found in mixers costing 3 times as much. I guess I will be doing more shopping at MONOPRICE! I wish you guys could make a more deluxe model for an added choice. No complaining whatsoever with this product!
