Boom Stand for Cymbal
This boom-style cymbal floor stand features a 1" diameter main vertical tube for superior strength and durability. The three-leg base design provides stability. The stand includes two 1/4" thick felt rings between which the cymbal is suspended. The cymbal mount is angle adjustable and features a tooth-locking system to prevent slippage.
If you are thinking heavy duty as in Pearl 900 series, DW, yamaha, heavier Tama stuff, you'll be disappointed.
I was using single braced older Yamaha hardware to gig with because I didn't want a 200 pound hardware bag.
I will be replacing some of that hardware with these double braced stands from Monoprice.
Time will tell, but at first glance, I'm content.
PROS: Nice, lightweight, double braced stand.
This is not a HEAVY duty stand.
But it appears to be serviceable and giggable.
CONS: This is NOT a Heavy Duty stand...
But it's not Heavy like a heavy duty stand...
PROS: -easy to use
PROS: Excellent. Easy to use.
PROS: Usually I'd find a used stand for this price. This is great
CONS: zero, my ride cymbal ain't going nowhere
PROS: great price, great quality for the price, durable enough to use for a practice drum set, will last quite a while.
CONS: May not hold up for consistent set up and tare down from constant gigging, but then again I haven't had any problems with it yet and it's been through a good bit.
PROS: Look nice. Lightweight. Inexpensive. Great for a kit that stays set up.
CONS: Thin material, thus the lightweight. Not good if used for a giging kit. Don't think they would hold up too long.
