Stand for Snare Drum
This stand for snare drums features a 1" diameter main vertical tube for superior strength and durability. The three-leg base measures about 15" between feet and locks into place with a wing nut. The base of the snare drum can be positions between about 18" ~ 26" above the floor. The snare mount is angle adjustable and features a tooth-locking system to prevent slippage.
PROS: Heavy construction, like all their other drum hardware. Basket on stand will only accommodate 10" to 14" snare. I have a 15"
CONS: Snare drum stand has small basket. Will only accommodate 10" to 14" snare. I have a 15" snare that won't fit. I requested return for refund and received return label that does not cover return shipping. I guess I will keep it, rather than pay shipping. Discription should state the small basket. Next time I will ask all dimensions before buying. This is my first bad experience with M.P.
PROS: Great price, perfect for the beginner looking for an affordable snare stand.
CONS: Can be a little tricky to set up. Quality is fine for the price, but not that of higher-end stands on the market.
PROS: Sturdy and well built. Sing the praises.
If you are thinking heavy duty as in Pearl 900 series, DW, Yamaha, heavier Tama stuff, you'll be disappointed.
I was using single braced older Yamaha hardware to gig with because I didn't want a 200 pound hardware bag.
I will be replacing some of that hardware with these double braced stands from Monoprice.
Time will tell, but at first glance, I'm content.
PROS: Nice, lightweight stand for a drum kit.
CONS: Likely not tall enough for standing concert snare users, but fine for playing a kit
PROS: Seems to be well constructed, works well for me
CONS: Nothing yet
