8.0mm Professional Microphone Bulk Cable - 100FT
Build your own custom balanced mono and unbalanced stereo patch cables using this Professional Microphone Bulk Cable from Monoprice!
This cable features two 16AWG high-purity, oxygen-free copper conductors, a braided copper shield with 97.5% coverage, and a single drain wire. Each conductor is jacketed in color-coded PVC.
Just for kicks, I tried the cable with some guitars not really expecting this to be usable due to its length.
This cable was amazing.
I get zero buzzing on my amp and guitar combos that would buzz with all other cables including decent Mogami cables a fraction of the length of this one. I made this cable huge with a coil on the floor on each end and it sounds awesome clean.
This is by far the best cable I own.
Now if they could just make it in some cool colors….
PROS: Excellent material
PROS: Rugged, flexible, quality conductors, easy to work with. We expect it to provide us years of reliable service.
CONS: None have been evident.
PROS: This is a very well built cable, the shielding is superb. Nice, thick and sturdy while remaining flexible.
I had [sorry Monoprice!] bought a bunch of used connectors off of ebay for literally 12 bucks (12 sets, i couldnt afford anything else!), and this beautiful cable. Just last night I began my project with creating two 15' cables with Neutrik connectors (which once I looked at the boot, I didnt think twice and went ahead with cutting it), and after 30 minutes I had 2 of the best cables I have ever used. I tested them out and there was no crackle, hum, intereference, NOTHING. Great great great! This is motivation for me to push George L and Cornish cables out of the way lol Thank you monoprice.
PROS: Everything! I dont know what negative thing to say about it- too thick to use with Neutrik connectors? Guys, how about just buy the cable whole if you're going to complain about that. I had a bunch of different brand connectors, and all you have to do is snip the rubber boot- it's there for the purpose of fitting differete gauge wires, ever wonder why it tapers? Duh...
PROS: Nice mic cable, sounds clean.
CONS: Kinda chunky.
PROS: High quality, Durable, Great customer support
CONS: None so far
PROS: Cable is very flexible and rugged, ideal for microphones.
CONS: Had a hard time with Neutrik connectors, the cable is too thick at 8 mm. But after figuring our how to attach the first connector the rest were easy.
