3ft 4-Channel XLR Male to XLR Female Snake Cable

Get 4-channel, professional, balanced audio XLR cable snakes from Monoprice for less than you're used to paying for each XLR cable alone!

These XLR cable snakes feature four sets of male-to-female XLR cables assembled into a single, soft and durable, cable jacket. Each XLR connector has a silver metal housing and is connected with a color coded wire, so you can quickly and easily make the right connections the first time, every time.

The cables are colored red, blue, white, and yellow. The connector housings are metal with plastic and rubber cable boots to reduce strain on the physical connection. Each cable carries a lifetime guarantee, so you can trust you'll always have a properly working cable, when you buy them from Monoprice!

There is currently an error on the packaging showing this to be an STP-XLR cable, while clearly the cable is an XLR-XLR type. Note that the packaging is incorrect and is in the process of being corrected.

Is this just one cable or are there three cables, one going to each pin?
    A shopper on May 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Each of the four individual cables has two conductors and a ground, connected in the industry standard EIA Standard RS-297-A arrangement. Technically, this translates to pin 1 being connected to the ground shield, pin 2 and pin 3 being connected to the wires shielded by the ground shield. Depending on your use and the reason for asking the question, yes, there are three separate paths for the flow of signal.
What is the copper wire gauge inside?
    A shopper on Nov 21, 2017
    BEST ANSWER: Hi,
It is either 24 or 26 gauge. Easy to strip using the proper wire stripper tool, and easy to solder. The wire insulation is robust considering the low cost. In addition, the wire is actually copper as opposed to aluminum and the shielding is braided copper instead of foil like most less expensive multi-core cables.

    Great Snake, Better Price
If you're like me you won't believe that something priced so low can be worth it. Believe it! I ordered a 4 channel snake late on a Monday a night and it was waiting for me when I got home on Thursday! When I opened the package I couldn't believe my eyes. All the jacks used are of excelent quality, everything color coded and bound up with a heavy casing. Just what I wanted at a great price, delivered quickly, that's all can you ask!

CONS: 20 ft is the longest snake cable they sell

Works great, but wish I had purchased the longer one!
Bought this for our small podcast production. Now wishing I had purchased a 10 ft one.

    Stellar Short XLR Snake
I don't quite understand how MonoPrice can sell this quality of a product for such a low price. Maybe that is why it is often out of stock. When we needed 8 channels of 3 foot XLRs for a multi channel direct box, I found these gems. Two of these 4 channel snakes was less than what I had fear I would half to pay for 2 single cables. Since they were so inexpensive, i ordered 2 extra and will use them in another system. They work well and have quality connectors.

PROS: Quality connectors, unbelievably inexpensive, sounds fine, good construction, color coded.

CONS: Unbundled part of the wires are a little thin.

Cable seems to be of high quality material, and end connectors are well built. I would definitely buy again.

    Cheaper than 4 separate cables!
Fits the bill to get signal from my 4 wireless mics to the mixer.

PROS: Great price and gets the job done.

    CONS: None that I've seen.

    Do the math!
I bought these for the value. When you add up the cost for the connectors and how long it takes to build this stuff, this is a tremendous value!

Have not had a chance to use it yet but from the look and feel of the cable, there is no reason in my mind that it will not work. I like the color coding of the cables and the connectors looks good. Tried plugging it in to a mixer (not on) and the connection is positive.
