I was pleased that Monoprice offered 150 foot mic cables with a male and female XLR already built. Everyone stocks a 100 footer, but Monoprice read my mind because when you are about 100 feet from your destination you always need to tuck the cable against a wall, or against a step on the way and this takes additional length to place the cable safely. Thanks Monoprice.
PROS: Thick rubber insulation, suitable for permanent installation in a building
exterior is twice the size of my thinnest microphone cable.
In a live setting, quite resistant to everything- being stepped on, resists being pinched, really tough.
Worked perfectly with RTS headset system we use for live multicamera production.
Note: this is a real copper cable
CONS: Thick rubber insulation, heavier and takes a little more space on the spool than thinner cables.
(but a little exercise is probably good for me and my crew)
I've used this cable twice since the purchase in Mobile DJ applications. Both times I didn't have to go looking for a 2nd cable. This one did the trick. No audible signal loss. No kinks in cable. If you need a long xlr, this one is a winner!
PROS: Very well constructed, high quality, heavy, long insulated cable, gold plated, great for long cable runs.
CONS: It's a heavy cable when it's wrapped. Which means it's reliable.
