This cable does its job pretty well. However using this cable as the cable that goes from my guitar to pedals wasn't the greatest. Moving around onstage beat up the cable pretty bad and it got broken with general stage preformance. I would recommend it if you simply need a longish cable practicing around at home, but for a live preformance I would invest into something of higher quality.
Ever since we discovered MONOPRICE, my Rock Band buys ALL of our cables from MONOPRICE... all or our XLR Mic & Rack Component cabling, the DMX cables for our LED stage lighting, ALL of our 1/4" TS & TRS instrument & patch cables, our SpeakOn speaker cables, AND our 12-gauge Power Extension Cords. We could have saved HUNDREDS of dollars if we'd only known sooner rather than later! ANYWAY... I use THESE Black & GOLD Cloth Series cables in my Home Studio, connecting my 3 keyboards to my Mixer.
CAUTION: If you have any issues with these cables, PLEASE BE FAIR and contact Monoprice's Customer Service Dept. to give them a chance to resolve those issues BEFORE you needlessly or inappropriately give the product a poor rating!
PROS: • Great Price! • Excellent Quality! • Awesome Warranty!
CONS: • Limited Color Selection • Limited Length availability
When my son started taking lessons, I had to run out and get a guitar cable at the last minute. Guitar Center had an 8' cable for $22. I felt robbed. When my daughter decided to take lessons, I had more time, so I ordered from Monoprice. Double the length - less than half the price. Customer for life.
Amateur player for almost 10 years. I've purchased endless cables and they all end up failing. These mono price cables are tough, cheap and work exactly like a much more expensive counterpart. Do yourself a favor and pick up a few of these and stop complaining about busted up instrument cables!
I'm a guitar player and I tend to go through cables by the mile. These are low-noise, get the job done perfectly well and are as durable as cables costing several times as much. If you aren't brutal with your gear (like I am, a lot of my cables seem to die by getting severed), they will probably last forever.
