Premier Series 1/4-inch TRS Guitar Pedal Patch Cable with Right Angle Connectors, 8-inch

Connect sound components and other audio equipment with this Premium 1/4" TRS Patch Cable with 90-degree connectors from Monoprice!

This cable features 90-degree TRS/Stereo plugs on each end. It uses 16 AWG stranded, pure copper conductors and employs copper braid shielding with 97.5% coverage to ensure that stray radio frequency and electromagnetic signals do not degrade the audio quality of your performance. The plugs are gold plated to provide smooth, corrosion-free connections as well as maximum electrical conductivity.

With two separate conductors and the common shield ground, this cable can be used as an unbalanced stereo patch cable or as a balanced mono patch cable.

Note that this cable is intended for general audio use. For high-end, low-noise performance and recording use we recommend our Cloth Series cables, PIDs 601410, 601415, and 601420.

why would you not buy these?
i purchased a few of these to connect expression pedals to guitar effects pedals, and also use them for recording my synthesizer's stereo out to other pedals and studio gear. i have been stomping on them for a few months now, and i could not be happier with the durability of these cables. nice and solid ends, and the cable is a heavy duty, high quality cable. at this price, i was expecting to have some complaints, but for the life of me i cannot find anything to whine about! definitely a steal of a deal here.

PROS: awesome price - tough and durable - fast shipping - totally reliable - and a good warranty.

    CONS: none! really...

    TRS vs TS
Ordinarily, a guitar pedal patch cable is the same as a short guitar cord, with TS (tip-sleeve) plugs for a mono or un-balanced signal. These cables have TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) tips and an extra conductor which allows them to be used for stereo or for balanced signals. I expected a problem with battery-powered loose pedals (ordinarily you need a TS plug to short out a stereo jack and complete the battery circuit) but these TRS cables seem to work fine with pedals whether they are loose and powered by batteries or assembled on a pedalboard with a separate power supply plugged into the 9V adaptors.

PROS: Gold plated plugs will not oxidize and is a good option for patch cables that will be left in place in permanent installations TRS plugs and dual-conductor wiring allows them to be used as patch cables for balanced signals on a mixer as well as for unbalanced signals on a pedalboard.

CONS: There may be some situations (stereo pedals for instance if you're only using the mono output) where the TRS feature would not be appropriate. As for the gold plating, if you are plugging and unplugging the patch cable a lot it will wear through and you're in the same situation as if you had plain nickel plating (which is what's underneath the gold).

Simple: They work perfectly, are ruggedly constructed, and are priced so low you can afford to by a spare and still save money. I'm sold.

PROS: Solid construction, great price... they even look nice.

CONS: My hearing must be failing. They sound the same, but cost so much less than other brands. My audiologist's bill will wipe out my savings. (just kidding)

    Solid, flexible cable
I found this cable to be sturdy and think it looks pretty sharp also. I was especially appreciative of the flexibility. I have some Fender 6 inch cables which work fine but are very stiff. In comparison, these cables have much more flexibility, which is very useful for my purpose: connecting multiple guitar effects pedals on a pedalboard.

    PROS: Solid Construction

    Flexible

    Good value for price

CONS: A 6-inch option would be nice for something like a small pedalboard (like the Pedaltrain Nano)
