I wanted so much to see these cables perform as well as they visibly appear, and I'm sad to finally find a Monoprice product that I didn't love for both price and quality, but until they address this quality issue, please stay away from these cables for your instruments or really anything in which you need a quiet quality 1/4" TS cable.
I will be seeking return for this cable hopefully without issue.
PROS: Appears to be a very thick and sturdy cable and connector. I was very excited for the price for what visibly looks like a much better guitar cable than what I'm used to.
CONS: Cable is microphonic and extremely loud when plugged into any instrument. The longer the span of cable, the worse it gets.
Interestingly enough, when I contacted customer service, they seemed blissfully unaware that these cables are totally unsuitable for guitar use.
PROS: Solid. Good as long as they don't move
CONS: Microphonic. Move them even an inch and they crackle like crazy.

PROS: Good construction.
CONS: Not crazy about the melted plastic insulator in the connectors.
PROS: All-metal connectors with metal strain reliefs, gold plated, nice cable, low price
CONS: none that I can find
If used for connecting guitar to amp, there will be noise whenever jostled. This is not meant for a connection like that.
CONS: None so far

PROS: I am currently using 2 of these cables, soon to be 4, to wire up the speakers and monitors of my church's stage system. I love the fact that these cables ARE REPAIRABLE! You can actually take the sleeve and the relief off and resolder the connection if you need to!
CONS: What cons? I got a high quality cable for cheap, are you kidding me?
PROS: solid construction.
cannot be beat for the price
CONS: heavier than I thought, but that may be a good thing.
