6ft Premier Series 1/4in TS Male to Male Audio Cable, 16AWG (Gold Plated)

Connect sound components and other audio equipment with this Premium 1/4" TS Patch Cable from Monoprice!

This unbalanced cable uses 16 AWG stranded, pure copper conductors and employs copper braid shielding with 97.5% coverage to ensure that stray radio frequency and electromagnetic signals do not degrade the audio quality of your performance. The plugs are gold plated to provide smooth, corrosion-free connections as well as maximum electrical conductivity.

Note that this cable is intended for general audio use. For high-end, low-noise performance and recording use we recommend our Cloth Series cables.

do people really use speaker cables as instrument cables and expect satisfactory results?
Hint: these are speaker cables not instrument cables
    A shopper on May 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Even though these aren't intended as instrument cables, they are still shielded. As long as you're not running a cable longer than 18 feet you shouldn't have any noise issues. I believe that is would be the only issue with using a speaker cables as instrument. cable, and it shouldn't be a problem with these. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I should've believed the other reviews. This wire is unusable due to the noise produced when the cable is moved slightly or even touched. Reconsider like I should have.

PROS: It worked when plugged in

    CONS: Very noisy wire

Solid Cables, Unbeatable Price... How do they do it ???!!!
Currently using with a Squire Fat Strat, Roland Microcube and a Boss Overdrive/Distortion pedal, so this isn't exactly a high-end setup. But the sound I do get with these cables is terrific. The big difference from my old (and more expensive) Hosa cables is the build quality. The Monoprice cables are SOLID, especially the metal housing where the cable is fused to the jack. This should prevent having to re-solder because there's no bending at the joint. If this does become necessary, no problem, because the housing screws off for easy access and replacement. All this and they look good too.

As usual, Monoprice lets cheapskates like me look like we've got expensive taste.

    Great guitar cable value
I've purchased a few of these cables for use with lead and bass guitars (and effects pedals), and they have held up extremely well. No noise, plated plugs, quality components. At this price, throw a few in your gig bag and you'll be set.

    Great guitar cables
I've owned many cables and these are by far the best for the money. Very solidly built. Never any hum like some of the cheaper cables i've owned. You can't go wrong with these. As quality as monster but at a fraction of the cost and a higher shielding rating than most monster cables.

    1/4 inch audio cable
Bought as a guitar patch cable. I just bought one short one to see if I liked it. I doubt that I will buy guitar cables anywhere else. These are as well made as the "premium" cables in music stores that go for many times as much. This is probably the best 1/4" cable that I've ever bought and also probably the best. More choice in connector angle, length, and color would be the only drawbacks but none of those are performance related.

PROS: Very well constructed. Thicker gauge wire than most. Very low price.

CONS: Limited choices in length and connector type (angle or straight)
