What is the weight of the stand itself?
    A shopper on Dec 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello, this item weights approximately 10lbs. Thank you for your inquiry!
What's the smallest key board it will suppor?
    A shopper on Sep 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It depends. (That may not be the answer you wanted.) If the width of your keyboard is less than average, you may have to keep the keyboard higher off of the floor than usual. Then you may have to sit on a high stool or stand to play. This can make it harder to use the pedal for sustain. I own 6 keyboard stands of various brands, and there are not appreciable differences among them in the length of the bars or the width of keyboard they will accommodate. If you have 61 or more keys any stand will do. If you have 49 or less is will be an issue. An advantage of this stand from Monoprice is adjustment by teeth instead of holes, giving you finer adjustments in the height. Another advantage is ease of setup. The one I got from Monoprice is my favorite.
Will this stand work well with a 61-key midi controller while sitting down?
    Eleazar D on May 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will. The height adjustment doesn't rely on friction and is better than most stands.
Can this hold a 88 key piano keyboard? Yamaha P 45
    A shopper on Oct 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can. The only issue with size of keyboard would be if you want to put a short keyboard, like a 49-key, low to the floor. The bars would be too far apart. Because of the double frame, this stand is strong enough to hold an 88-key.
    What is the maximum height?
    Mark C on Apr 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your interest in this stand. The product description states maximum height is 38"

Bought this for my daughter's fullsize keyboard. Cheaper than the single-X stand from the big-box guitar place, more sturdy, and in my opinion a better lock mechanism. Good deal.

    PROS: Solid. Good locking mechanism.

    CONS: None

    Heavy Duty !
This is an extremely heavy duty, professional quality keyboard stand. Much crappier ones go for a bunch more $ than this, used on Craigslist. I have actually never had one this nice, and can't believe how sturdy it is, as well as the price ! Thank you Monoprice !

    PROS: Everything

    CONS: None

    Great quality and value.
I bought this for an 88 key midi controller that is not very deep, so the keyboard is hard to position across the stand without some sort of non-siip material. A quick fix with some glue and a strip of bar shelf-liner and I was ready to go. The locking mechanism is sturdy, but I found it difficult to get the correct height, because the graduation between settings wasn't small enough, a tiny complaint in an otherwise excellent product.

PROS: Sturdy construction, excellent locking mechanism. Excellent price

CONS: Too much difference between adjustment heights. Hard to get the right height.

Needs some non slip material on the bars to hold the keyboard steady.

    Double-X Keyboard Stand
I really like the stand, it is exactly what I was looking for to support my keyboard/controller in my home studio. No hassles, no assembly, just discard the packing and you're good to go. The locking mechanism is one touch, really no hassles, and its "straight". I've seen so many junky stands, and they want beaucoup bucks if you try to buy on Craigslist, this was cheaper and new, and basically better than most. So its a great stand at a great price.

I also had a little issue with Customer Service and Tech Support went the extra mile to satisfy, me - what more could a customer ask?

They get a 10 for product, delivery was super fast and support was efficient. Wish more companies were this good.

Definietely recommend the stand and Monoprice.

PROS: The stand is very well made. I like the quick lock mechanism, and its sturdy and smooth.

    CONS: None

    Great Buy!
I buy a lot from Mono price and don't think I've ever been dissapointed, and that's the case here. But I didn't expect to get the bulld quality and great design that I got with this stand. The quick release mechanism is superb, this is truly a first rate stand at any price. Well done, Monoprice!

PROS: Very well built and designed, would expect to pay a lot more. Easy ordering process and quick delivery. Extremely happy with my purchase.

    CONS: None.

Nothing at this price even comes close!
Sometimes you DON'T get what you pay for. I thought I'd be smart and purchased a stand from another online company based on a nice picture (and higher price). What I received was a piece of junk, already broken out of the box. Needless to say, it was sent back the next day. I then came back to Monoprice and ordered this stand. Shipping was prompt and the stand was exactly what I wanted. In fact, it was better than expected. The stand is sturdy and easily adjustable. Monoprice has yet to let me down. The entire transaction was fantastic! Thanks Monoprice.

PROS: Nice sturdy stand easily adjustable great materials overall great quality

CONS: Which Monoprice had a two-tier stand of this quality.

    Excellent value
I love the sturdiness of this stand and how adjustable it is. The locking teeth looked like plastic in the pictures to me, but they are actually metal, which was a very pleasant surprise.

The plastic ends of the floor tubes are intentionally made uneven to a degree, so one can twist them and offset the stand's balance according to any unevenness of the floor to prevent teetering (or twist to even out the stand on even floor). This alone is a massive plus as my previous stand did not have such a feature and I would have to improvise by tying some plastic to one of the ends.

I'm slightly annoyed that there was no indication that I had to tighten the nut behind the locking teeth so that they would work properly, or maybe my particular stand had not had its nut tightened enough by mistake.

I have yet to see a new stand of this quality at less than twice the price of the Monoprice stand so far.

PROS: Rugged, solid, no wobbling, plenty of adjustability.

    CONS: N/A

    Check your weight requirements!
I should have read the description closer when I ordered this. I bought this to replace another stand I've used for live gigs for several years that was starting to wear out. I use this type of stand to support a custom flight-case style box that holds a virtual guitar rig. I'd estimate the case weighs about 80-100 lbs.

Most other double-braced keyboard stands that I've seen support 200 lbs. and up so I didn't think twice about it but this stand only supports up 110 lbs. per it's description.

This stand does support the case but the braces flex a whole lot, they are rectangular instead of square and the narrow side is only about 1/2" wide or so. Under the weight of my case, the stand became spring-like and was a bit uneven on the floor. It doesn't give me confidence that it will support my case for any length of time.

For a typical keyboard, this would work great but if you need something heavy duty, you might consider another option. I plan on keeping this one in my studio as a standard keyboard stand but I'll need to find another option for my ailing live-use stand.

    PROS: Double-braced.
    Toothed grip is sturdy.

CONS: Only supports up to 110 lbs.
    Doesn't fold flat when secured.

    Great Sturdy Stand
Wow what a nice surprise. I expected it to be slightly better than my existing x frame stand but this thing is so much better! The lock mechanism is also really nice, I've gigged with this stand twice so far and really enjoying it to play standing.

    Great value
Most keyboard stands have limited height adjustments which can make it difficult to get the right levels for two instruments. With this stand you can easily adjust to any height, a great price and super easy to adjust with the quick release handle.
