I have a fixture profile with the exact values for the colors that are in the pdf manual, but my colors don't match up to what they are supposed to be.
We have 4 of these and they all have the same problem. For instance, to get blue I have to select magenta. Not a huge problem... I just go through the colors until I find the one I want, but just curious if anyone else has had this issue.... I wonder if there is an updated user manual.
PROS: Smooth operation, lots of colors, sturdy feel and great price.
CONS: The manual isn't too helpful if you don't know about setting up DMX lighting.
PROS: Bright light, Easy to setup, well made, smooth operation
Not a pro or a con, but the light is more towards a spot, than a wash. I guess if they were wash pattern lights, you wouldn't need to aim them.
It has been a drag with these lights. I couldn't use these at my venue because of the fan noise, and had to return them. Am out the $16 for shipping them back.
PROS: Cheap. Works the way it should. DMX works. Control of rotation is simple and smooth. Very nice to be able to aim them without having to climb up a ladder.
CONS: I can't believe no one mentioned how loud the fans are in these. And it's on from the second you turn it on. I think these would work fine for a stage that strictly deals with loud music, like a bar or rock club. Any pause in the music and you'll hear the fans happily blasting away. No one would pay for a PA system that makes as much noise as these, so it doesn't make sense to ruin your noise floor with these lights.
Other con is sort of minor, but the position of the lights resets itself on power up. I didn't get deep enough to find out if there is a way to disable this.
PROS: This moving head light is absolutely great. The brightness is amazing. The control and movement are both good. The smoothness of its movements is very good. The ease of use helps this product also.
CONS: We had some issues with the first turn on of 2 of our 10 lights. However, we travel with these lights and they seem to handle the setup and breakdown just fine. Monoprice quickly replaced the two defective units.
PROS: Bright, Great fan
CONS: The fan was a tad bit loud but nothing to complain about
The fans are a little loud, but from the floor it isn't too distracting.
We are really excited for what we will be able to do with these. I can't believe they work this well for Monoprice prices.
I used Martin MAC-101's at my last big show and loved them. When I used these for a small gig they actually looked so similar to the Martins that I planned on purchasing, I changed my mind and I'm going to buy a bunch more of these instead.
PROS: Slow movements are smooth, but it actually can move pretty fast too. Way brighter than expected. These things are the real deal.
CONS: None so far.
PROS: Worked as advertised. I purchased three and have them working in synchronization they are reasonably bright. I've purchased other lights in the past and they didn't seem to last very long. I'm hoping these lights will perform for a longer time. I specifically purchase them from Mono price due to their excellent warranty policies. Hope I don't need the warranty.
CONS: Have no cons at this time
PROS: Smooth Panning
Uniform Color and Brightness from unit to unit
CONS: Fan noise
DMX cables that come with the unit are flimsy and are not the locking type
Start up calibration turns on the the LED's before the head is in position.
PROS: Small, bright for the size, large range of motion, able to adjust angle for automatic motion. All around a nice light for a DJ or small stage setting.
CONS: fan is noisy but not really if you are going to have music and other things going on. I would use for mostly down lighting or color effects. You can get color separation or blurry effect
