A single 200-watt Warm White Ultra Bright LED provides the light output of a 750-watt halogen bulb with less fan noise, heat on performers and audience, and power consumption. Can you get a 10 degree lens train for this fixture? Or is it a standard (i.e. ETC Source 4 barrel)?
    A shopper on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: yes, it will hold a 10 etc barrel, but housing isn't very strong and can pull away from body with weight from large barrels. The 26 that it ships with it is plastic and weighs nothing- as soon as I started putting etc lenses on it became loose and needed attention

How does this work with "Standard" Source Four lenses? 19, 36, 50? I saw the comment about the larger 10-degree.
    Lafayette H on Oct 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your interest in this stage light. Not sure what your question is. This light uses the same mounting points as the other guys so you can use our lenses on their fixtures or their lenses on ours.
My LED in this light is flickering. (Not in a camera), any ways to resolve this issue in the light?
    A shopper on Sep 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It might be strobe effect.
Try to change the push buttom to dimmer mode.
Are you able to change the GOBO for this light?
    A shopper on Jun 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, It takes a standard gobo holder.
What is the CRI of the LED?
    New User U on Jun 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your interest in this stage light. Our 200W ellipsoidal has a CRI of 85+.
I am interested in using these for an outdoor performing arts center. The manual states for indoor use only, however, we would only be temporarily mounting these for the occasional concert. Would this work in our case?
    A shopper on Apr 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, i don't see any issues with using them outside. Definitely not as durable as conventional etc s4's, so careful of any moisture. Haven't had mine long enough to find out how they react to outside elements, but probably not a good idea to leave them out for long periods of time.

    Good for the price
I come from the realm of ETC Source 4 lights and was looking to purchase LED stage lights that can fit the ETC fixtures. This is a great light in that fashion. I do want to note that I actually received a defective light, but Monoprice was good about returning it.

So here's the deal. 1. The fixture is no where near the quality of a source 4. It has an extremely cheap, plastic feeling. Gobo templates (I tested with two metal gobo templates) are unfortunately 'soft' (ie "blurry") in either the center or edges. I was really hoping the LED light type would fix this, but this was not the case. The sharpness seen with many other LED fixtures is unfortunately not carried over to this as it's the lenses that are the issue, I am assuming. (I tested the Monoprice 26 degree barrel lens and an ETC source four 26 degree barrel lens). both were just as blurry.

I searched high and low for questions about sharpness on this light and Gobos, so hopefully this will help people know that if they are looking at these lights to increase sharpness in Gobos, this will not be the case. I was bummed to find this out as well.

Other than that, it's a 200W power draw that has a 750W equivalent output. Oh, and it's a true warm white (3,200K color temp), which is great.

For the price, you can't beat it, but know you are getting a plastic fixture and you better get a case as I can see this breaking 10 times over before an ETC source four would go out.

    PROS: Lightweight,
True 3,200 Degrees Kelvin color Temperature
Saves 5 Amps per light in comparison to the traditional ETC Source Four Fixture
DMX Controllable (no dimmer packs needed!)

    CONS: Plastic Feel to it.
Not made for rigorous road use
26 Degree barrel lens that comes with it is not that well made (plastic instead of glass on the lens)
Mine was defective, but just a fluke (however, I don't see these lasting like an ETC Source Four would)
BIG! It's bigger than I thought and I was hoping, since it's led, it would be more compact. These are actually much bigger fixtures than the ETC models. This is unfortunately when dealing in event AV.
    Solid LED Leko
Works great - especially for the price. Its got a bit more punch than a conventional 575 S4 Leko and uses way less power, creates less heat, and doesn't need a dimmer (but of course - some DMX control, which is easy because you can use a 3 channel controller which is super cheap). We project a lot of gobos and custom gobos and just printed a custom gobo and it held up no problem - no heat problem at all.
We thought at first that there is falloff on the edges when using break-up patterns but will revisit. We use mostly 50 degree / 70 degree / and 90 degree lenses ...
Not sure why it ships with a 26 degree - but it looks like most LED Lekos are shipping with 26. Maybe its the safest lens to get a good look out of it. But in reality 26 is a rare lens ...
In general we do like the fixture - if the price point was a bit lower we would consider adding 50+ to our inventory.
It would save us enough money in power and labor in the long run to make it worth it - but we need to test other fixtures and retrofit options first.

PROS: Great output, little power consumption, no dimmer needed, fairly compact and lightweight.
    Printed gobo worked great.

CONS: The outside perimeter seemed soft when using break-up patterns - but will revisit and look at it again
    LED Ellipsoidal
I purchased one of these lights so I could see how it works. Honestly I was really impressed with the overall light output as well as how easy it was to work with. The only negative thing about the light is that the lens tube feels a little cheap because its plastic. However, that will not stop me from ordering more as once I get these mounted on the light bars and focused, chances are they will not be moved again for a long time. If I was a touring show or a portable type outfit, I probably would look at other options. But when LED ellipsoidals made by other companies with heavier duty lens tubes are easily 3x the price per fixture without a lens! Good job monoprice.com!

PROS: Bright light with lots of features

CONS: Plastic lens tube, made in China

    Acceptable Performance for limited budget
I'm using these lights at a performing arts center where we have to rig them on crank stands every performance, then set them during the daylight to the correct position on stage.

So far, they have accomplished what we needed, which was to provide an adequate and flattering front was on our performers.

As others have stated, the build quality isn't "tank-like" but with proper care, I expect them to hold up fine. One thing I noticed is out of the 4 units I purchased, only one of them will retain its dmx addressing after having been unplugged and plugged back in. I just set all of them to channel 1, the default setting, and use that in my dmx software as well.

    Great wash
The back part of the light is metal, the front lens holder is plastic. It functions well, but I can see it wearing out very easily with moving the fixture around. One of ours rotates out of the box, and there is not way to tighten it down.

    Close but no s4par
As mentioned in other reviews, this fixture isn't as durable as a conventional leko- the idea of leaving your dimmers at the shop and not having to worry about a power drop is a beautiful thing; however, these aren't designed to handle much abuse, and unfortunately the yoke and lens are the weakest parts of the fixture. swapping lenses is possible, but the 26 degree that comes with the fixture is plastic and cheap, which serves the purpose not only because of cost, but more importantly weight. Anything heavier, such as a etc lens, puts more weight than the two Allen screws holding it together can handle. Thus causing the barrel to become loose from the reflector housing body.
The yoke and hardware is cheap and barely capable of handling the weight of the light when top hung.
The color temp is actually very good, and although I wouldn't Comp to a 750w lamp, it's equal to 575w, which for the price is hard to find anywhere else.
If your hard up to make the switch from conventional fixtures or using for semi-permanent install this might be a good choice. For rental/staging market I'd keep saving for something better.

    Very Nice Fixture
We have used this fixture on several events and it is great in all aspects. Sage Wash, Podium Wash, Dimming is simple with any DMX controller and you can run up to (10) fixtures on a single 20 amp breaker. What more is needed.....

PROS: It is exceptional! Lightweight, Smooth movement on the 4 shutters. I can't find any Cons but I will list one just because I think it would add a nice offer on this fixture.

CONS: Does not come with a Gobo Holder. It would be a nice touch.

    Great light BUT soooo heavy
    Hi Paul,

Do you have a similar light that is lighter in weight & smaller? And one that changes colors?

PROS: Super bright. Will wash an entire stage with one light.

CONS: Super heavy and awkward to mount for mobile production
