Is there a lux table that shows the brightness levels for the different colors at different distances?
    New User U on Nov 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Usually RGB isnt that high. I would say no more than 35 Lumens per watt.
do these dim? and if so, do they dim smoothly?
we have one of another brand that is either on or off.
    Devon S on Feb 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This LED Light Bar is fully dimmable via DMX ONLY. Use with traditional lighting dimmers will destroy this fixture. Dimming can be done to entire unit as a 3 channel fixture. Unit can be split into 2, 4, or 8 zones across the 48". There are presets in auto or sound active that are speed controllable.
Can you get replacement feet for these lights?
    Jeff R on Sep 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Possibly. As there are many lights that use this type of mounting bracket. None I have ever found available for sale separately.
    is there are remote ?
    stefano b on Feb 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't believe so. I know that Monoprice changes items on the fly, but nothing in the units or docs suggests that an RF receiver is or will be available for this model -so probably no remote control hopes. That said, the built in controls are very complete, and the units have worked flawlessly with 3 DMX control systems I've used.
Does it come with a bag or case?
    Rance H on Dec 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. If you save the box it came in, you may be able to find a generic zippered cloth bag to fit.
How would you mount these vertically to a pole?
    Jeff R on Sep 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You could use pole clamps or zip tie to the mounting hardware.
Can you put these lights on manual mode without DMX? For instance, with the built in buttons, can you change the fixture to different static colors?
    A shopper on Oct 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely you can. I use mine without DMX frequently. It has several built-in modes including colors & color patterns.
    Are these lights UL approved?
    Joshua I on May 10, 2018
    BEST ANSWER: Yes
I just purchased this light, and I want it to show only blue (deep blue, not the turquoise blue). I cannot figure out how to do this, can you help?
    A shopper on Apr 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The monprice LED Light Bars are a great value. I think you experiencing that difference between conventional lighting fixtures compared to LEDs. The primary colors that LEDs create, especially in this price range, are not as saturated as using lamp based fixtures and theater gel. The blue light spectrum is to most notable with this issue. There are higher end LEd fixtures that have more saturated primary colors, but they can cost us to 10 times the amount of the monoprice light bars. The turquoise blue is the best they can do. (There are technical concepts like light wavelength, additive/subtractive lighting and other issues.) The monoprice strips are still great for color mixing and be cost effective. Most of the time the LED blue is not a problem, but the issue shows up when using a mixture of conventional lighting and LED based lighting.

THESE THINGS RAWK!! COMPLETELY AND THOROUGH:Y EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS, BRIGHT, SOLID AND AFFORDABLE
I am in the process of replacing a lot of old DJ lighting, I had been using older halogen bulb effects lighting for dance floors in my mobile DJ business. I saw these on sale at Monoprice and read the reviews, they were mixed but I said I want to try them, they looked attractive and the excellent price looked even more attractive. I bought two to try out. I figured if they didnt meet my expectations I could use them to uplight my table top facade or even up light my drums on stage when i have gigs that I play drums in a band with. So I picked them up, tested them out at home before the gig, I had 2, I grabbed an xlr mic cable, and plugged in the lights to a cable so I could see how well they synced. I did this in the afternoon sun indoors with my blinds open in all my windows. I turned on some music on my cell phone and plugged in the lights, set one for a master and the other as a slave. These things were projecting light on a wall 20 feet away in broad daylight and you could see very clearly the blues, red and greens.. I was impressed, I set them to sound activated pattern and let em go to music for about 35 mins straight and just watched and checked on them... They did great, I repacked them and put them away... 2 days later, went to do a gig for a wedding reception, had a crowd of 250... I mounted the lights on my speaker stands, up and down like they were part of the poles that held up the stands, did the same, one master one slave using one xlr cable and the sound activated patter.. They performed flawlessly, I even turned off my other lighting effects and ran them solo, they were way bright enough, had great color, great sound activated patterns going to the music, great adjustablilty to the sound, they looked very professional and didnt look cheap at all. I dont know where the other reviews said that they werent bright enough, because they were very bright and brought a great lighting effect to the dance floor. I received many compliments on them from guests, my clients and from the banquet facility management and staff!! I used them for 5 hours non stop that night on a packed dancefloor and they worked flawlessly!! I will be ordering at least a ten more for stage wash lighting, uplighting my drums and uplighting my dj equipment! They feel solid, they are lightweight and easy to use. Monoprice you did it again, oustanding performance with outstanding pricing. You made my rig look like a million bucks, even though i spent less than 100 on each light!! I plan on buying at least 10 more and these will be my go to lights for LED's , the price cannot be beat.

    PROS: OUTSTANDING VALUE
    Look Professional
    Solid Build qualty
    bright lights
easy to use, they are not dim in any way shape or form
no dmx controller needed and you can chain multiple units easily
Blues, reds and green were bright and the true color
    did I mention the price?
Versatility to be used as up lighting, stage wash, dancefloor effects and many other uses I havent tried yet

    CONS: NONE

Fairly dissapointed with the product quality and it arrived damaged
I ordered 2 of these led bar and when I opened them up I found that both lights had severe rattling "issues" and that something was broken and loose inside of both of the lights. Upon removing one of the sides (held by 4 philips screws) i inverted the bar and all these black plastic shavings fell out of the housing. When i put the lights back together, I didn't seem to remove all of them.. Had to remove the side again and shake the rest out. I had to do this for both lights. The shavings looks like broken parts from clips that supposed to be on the outside of the light housing... I can't tell.

Also the rattling heard from both lights would be considered "normal" because the LED boards are modular (4 boards or so) and they're supported by slits in the housing. They're not held together in place, just sitting next to each other .

The housing of the unit is extremely cheap. Monoprice packages the legs in a separate ziplock bag and somehow, either during shipment or from the start, they placed it on top of the lighting unit and it took a junk out of the painting of the black housing. I have a huge silver gash on the front of the product.

Also the end brackets which screw onto the housing came broken on one of the lights. Thankfully it is on the side and it seems to be holding right now...

In terms of cons that's where it ends. Im hoping monoprice could ship me one of the endcaps to replace on one of my lights... I don't feel like returning the entire unit.. I do need them for my upcoming gig. Aside from that the lights perform well and none of the leds were out. I would be extremely happy with the product if only the build quality was better.

    PROS: Great performing lights
Ability to daisy chain the power

    CONS: build quality is horrible

    Extremely-versatile LED Light Bar
I purchased two of these for my band's light truss. These are replacing two American DJ Mega Bar 50 fixtures and will be controlled via DMX. I plan on adding more of these lights to our system in the near future.

PROS: The various, built-in light shows are quite attractive and attention-grabbing. The lights are quite bright on-axis. I was surprised how little these fixtures weigh.

CONS: The lights are only RGB. I would love to see these in RGBAW+UV. The light coverage area is kind of narrow, but, in our case, that works for us. We need to keep our lights aimed at the dance area rather than in the eyes of people sitting off to the side.

    Great fixture!
Bought two of these for enhancement lighting for a pro wrestling event.
Added a sheer curtain to hang in front of it , and was totally happy with the results.

Very bright...dmx programming was simple, and had many options.

Nice fixture but specs listed on this page are for a previous model
Just a heads up this is model 612601 but the manual they have to download above and at least the "modes" listed under full specs are for the 612600 version. DMX channel modes are very different in the 612601 as they can be set in 2, 3, 4, 7, 14 and 26ch as opposed to the 3, 6, 12, 24 and 48ch mentioned above.
The only bummer this causes is my ETC Element has profiles for the 612600 but not for 612601s that i bought. So i need to find a downloadable manual with all the DMX specs so i can send it to ETC and kindly request a new profile.
But in 3ch mode they work as any generic RGB LED fixture would. Super light weight. Not the brightest but you really can't complain for the price. Once i get a proper profile for my console i'll be able to really test them.

Great Lights but new version is mis-labeled
Bought on of these for the band and it was great. Just bought another 2 to completely light the back wall. Works and looks great!
One minor issue... the DMX in/out ports are labeled in reverse. While my first light is correct, these last two are obviously a diff batch. The DMX male and female are incorrectly labeled in and out. Not a big deal since they are daisy-chained and it's obvious which is which, but just something to be aware of. Hopefully support is reading this and can pass it on to Quality review folks.

    Great Light, Great Value
Picked these up during the monoprice sale just to build some more gear up, and I have to say, they are very impressive, a variety of modes allow you to select colors on the device for your basic uplighting, simpler DMX modes for when all you have is a basic dmx controller, and the advanced 26 ch mode for when you want control. The beam spread is very narrow, just be ready for that, but the color mixing is not bad at all, just be prepared for the individually colored LED's to cast some Chromatic aberration in the shadows. Brightness wise, it's great, I attribute this partially to the narrow beam spread, but it will easily show through generic florescent for your run of the mill corporate show, and while the zones are a bit on the wide side for it, it's totally pixel mappable if you've the dedication to play with it. I should also mention the power, it will take 85-265V at 50-60Hz, and output it at the other end with a universal socket! All in all, amazing light for the price, I could see this light being hundreds if it were from any other brand, would, and probably will buy again.

    A steal for the price
Bright, well built but not heavy. Easy to program. Might buy another to put on the floor in front of the drummer.

Great Bang for your Buck as both static lighting and part of an integrated system!
I've used the American DJ versions, the Mega bar, for quite a while, but needed to expand our system. I've used a number of the other par LED lights, but hadn't tried these before. Given that they are twice the size of the American DJ Megabar, and a good amount less expensive, but they put out plenty of light and lots of options. So far I've used them for uplighting, audio triggered ambient lighting, and part of an integrated system. Other than one of the initial lights needing an RMA, these have been great and worth the money.

My only complaint would be that the mounting brackets are a little bit flimsy; If you are careful during transport though, you'll be fine.
