Stylish Contact Charging Dock for Playstation 4
Get the convenience of wireless charging using this Stylish Charging Dock for PlayStation® 4 from Monoprice!
This lightweight charging dock measures about 6.1" x 2.8" x 2.4" (15 x 7 x 6 cm) and has cradles with contact points for two controllers. It includes two adapters which plug into the micro USB charging port on the DualShock® 4 controllers. The adapters are small enough that they won't interfere with gaming, so you can just leave them in the controllers.
Charging is as simple as placing the controller in the cradle, each of which has its own charge status indicator. In addition to the two adapters and the dock, the package includes a 4-foot USB to DC charging cable.

Questions and Answers
PROS: Great size. The controllers dock vertically which saves space. The dock has rubber feet to prevent sliding. The cable is a USB to DC plug that uses up only one USB on the PS4. No need for another AC Adapter, wall wart in your power strip. Since it's USB directly into the PS4, it can shut off when the PS4 goes into deep sleep (mine is set for 3 hours, which is enough time to charge two controllers). Also, it is a standard DC input on the dock, so if the need arises, it'd be easy to purchase an A/C power supply with the right voltage specs and use a wall wart instead of using up 1 of the 2 USB slots on the PS4. Inexpensive compared to other solutions.
CONS: (My cons are all nit-picky)
Comes with 3 charging nubs, instead of 4, (nubs being the little adapters that plug into the controller). I can see 3 because it's one more than the total slots available in the device, which is industry standard. Buying any device usually includes one spare accessory in the package. But in this case, 4 would have been supreme since the PS4 supports 4 controllers.
The blue tone does not match the blue that Sony uses for its blue controller and Wireless headsets.
The charging lights are way brighter than they need to be.
PROS: Simple to use. Just drop in an charge
No docking issues with Micro USB style chargers
Charging indicator lights
Charging prong adapters are small and unnoticeable
PROS: - Tiny footprint of charging plug
- Just drop it in to the cradle. Little led turns red for charging. Blue for full battery.
CONS: - Like others have said, you only get 3 plugs.
- Sometimes the cradle doesn't function appropriately. Have to unplug it and plug it back in again to reset it. Doesn't happen enough to make it a big problem.
PROS: Great Price
Small Charging Nubs
LED Indicator Lights
Piano Black Finish Reasonably Matches PS4
CONS: Does Not Include a USB-12V Wall Adapter
Charges Controllers Upside Down
Easy to place on cradle
Charges multiple Dual Shock 4 controllers
CONS: Lack of an included AC or USB wall charger
Only includes three contact adapters. A fourth would be welcome.

For this charger, you permanently insert a tiny dongle (three of which are supplied in the package), and the controller charges while it rests on the dock. That is a hundred times better, and I wish I bought this dock first.
PROS: - No plugging/unplugging of controllers
- Three dongles included, even though there are only two docking positions
- Individual indicators for whether each controller is charged
CONS: - A USB cable is included for the dock to plug into, but there is no power brick. You'll have to supply one yourself. (I bought an extra at this site for a few bucks.)
