    How thick is the plate?
    New User U on May 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The top plate is a good 5mm or about 0.2 inches thick.
    How tall is the riser?
    A shopper on Aug 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Full dimensions are on the last picture, and in the description.
    19.5" x 8.5" area
    Raises display monitors 2.5"
On a personal note (I bought one for my 27" iMac) it is sturdy, looks great with an iMac, and external 3.5" hard drives fit underneath neatly.
Will a single rackmound device fit under this? Something like a Furman power conditioner or other single height full width rack device?
    A shopper on Nov 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the internal width is 20.9" and the internal height is a little over 2 inches at the edges. The Furman power conditioner should fit (referring to one with 19 x 12 x 1.75" dimensions) but it would stick out a bit in the back or front. Please verify with your specific model too but hope this helps.

    This thing is SOLID
Exceeded my expectations. Looks sleek and feels entirely solid through and through. Will probably buy a second one.

    Perfect for my needs
I needed a monitor stand so that I could push my keyboard under the stand and create more writing/reading space on my desk. The previous stand I had was too high which made it awkward to look at the monitor screen even if it was adjusted to its lowest point. This monitor stand is just high enough to push my keyboard under it. Sturdy design and was easy to put together.

    Almost as described
I had one goal: look for a stand that will fit a regular keyboard underneath and not let it be wider than 20 inches because it was going in a specific area. It turns out that the actual metal plate is as described in terms of dimensions but when you screw in the legs, you add an additional inch to each side since it sticks out. So what I thought was a stand that was 19.5 inches wide turned out that if you add the leg width, it becomes 21.5 inches wide. Actually to be precise, the total width (at least on mine) was 21 & 5/8 inches wide. the metal plate was 1/8 of an inch wider.

regardless, it did fit the area where I wanted to put this so I didn't have to return it but at the time of this review, Monoprice has not yet indicated that when you count the width including legs/feet, it will be 1 inch wider on both sides so add 2" to the indicated width.

Other than that, it is a very sturdy monitor riser. There are thing rubber feet on the bottom so it won't slide around.

However, there are other reasons to my 3 star rating. The metal edges are a little on the sharper side. I wish they rounded the edges just a bit more. Also, I feel like the surface scratches easily. I already have a couple of scratches but I'm not sure how I got it. I don't want to experiment and add more scratches only to further prove my point. Maybe with normal use it won't scratch but on mine, the scratches are there, although small and subtle.

If Monoprice had the glass risers in the smaller width, I would have probably bought those over this but again, stated above, I was looking for a stand/riser with a very specific width so I was limited to what I could buy. Otherwise, the glass risers are amazing. I have already bought like five of them and will probably continue to buy more when needed.
