    I tested the following:

~132 FPS (Simply booted up Guns of Icarus to take a quick look at the FPS)

~Inspection for stuck/dead pixels [turned entire screen white and burned my eyes :) ]

~Has been on for over 100 hours

~Can visually see the difference from 60hz to 144hz

~I couldn't get up to 144hz, but this is most likely because the game I was playing wouldn't graphically allow me to go over 132 fps. Regardless, my personal opinion is that I doubt I'll ever get to 144hz. You buy 144hz monitor to get a true 120hz experience.

~I actually played with the stand to see how easily it might break. The stand is going to last longer than the monitor.

~The monitor is not cheaply built. It looks extremely professional. Has a fair amount of weight to it. Shines on the sides.

~I'm using this monitor for gaming and can see a noticeable difference in my gaming from a 60hz monitor.

PROS: ~As close to 144 hz as one would expect

    ~Vibrant colors

~Amazing stand (easy to setup, less than 15 minutes from box opening to being done)

    ~Portrait mode allowed with stand

~The price is unbeatable (especially with the 15% discount I had)

~Menu options for monitor are amazing.

CONS: ~One dead pixel on the bottom left (completely unnoticeable in-game)

So far so good. been using 1 for two months, added a second one a couple weeks ago and still going strong.

I ended up choosing this over similar offerings from other companies mainly due to pricing. It seems like every month or two there is a good deal on these compared to the other companies. Overall, i am very happy

PROS: The stand. Hand's down this is one of my favorite monitor stands. The fact that it is VESA compatible only sweetens the deal.

CONS: Speakers aren't the best, but if you are buying this for the speakers you have other problems.

    Monoprice 24in 144hz monitor
So, this monitor…. Let’s talk about this monitor. Now going from a normal 60hz monitor and finally switching to a 144hz panel is a very nice feeling. Everything on this monitor game wise feels smooth and crisp. The panel itself is of course a TN panel so the natural caveats of a TN panel come into play. Sure viewing angles aren’t the best but if all you do is sit in front of your monitor and play then it shouldn’t be an issue. But there are somethings about this monitor that I do honestly love. First the connections on the back of the monitor. It has 1 DP port, 1 HDMI, 1 DVI, 1 VGA, a line in and of course a DC power port. Its because of the connectivity of this monitor that I chose it over other 144hz monitors. The matte finish on the monitor is a nice change of pace from the glossy finish on my other monitors and makes it easy to play in direct light and makes it so I don’t see the reflection of my t-shirt in the monitor…. Yes that happens to me a lot. The actual base of the monitor is really nice too, it comes with a swivel/rotate, up and down adjustment and landscape/portrait orientation it’s very smooth and doesn’t require much force. The VESA compatibility is also a nice addition especially when it comes to mounting it to a triple monitor stand. The speakers on the monitor are….ok, not terrible but not amazing either. A few gripes I had are the buttons on the bottom right can be a little bit of a pain to work around, and the fact that it didn’t ship with a display port cable still hurts my heart to this day. But ultimately I love this monitor! It really is a great monitor for the price and if you use it like I do for console and pc gaming it’s a no brainer. All the stuff you get in this monitor for only 200$ is not just a bargain, it’s a steal! If you’re serious about gaming, then pick this monitor up ASAP!

This monitor was not provided from monoprice so HA!

    PROS: 144hz goodness

    lots of connectivity

    low response time

    good stand

    matte finish

    CONS: no DP cable

    meh speakers

buttons on bottom can be difficult to hit

not IPS.... unrealistic but i can dream cant I?!?!

    Awesome monitor!
This monitor is awesome! It came absolutely perfect and I will absolutely be buying from Monoprice in the future!

    PROS: 144Hz

    Good picture quality for TN

    Great Monitor
Aside from the initially stuck pixel, the monitor has meet and slightly exceeded my expectations especially for the price and the number of inputs. Since I like the use my monitors with multiple devices, it was tough to find a good monitor with VGA, DVI, and HDMI inputs.

    PROS: Great refresh rates

    Nice colors after calibration

    Sturdy monitor stand

    Great variety of inputs supported

CONS: Monitor had a single stuck pixel. It got it unstuck after a couple hours of usage and is no longer a problem

This monitor was far better than advertised...a really excellent value. And we are not gamers....we are using this in a professional broadcast environment...keeps up with monitors costing 10 times more!

PROS: Bright with great colors, very cool swivel stand!

    CONS: None

    great monitor
Out of the box picture quality is quite good in my opinion. The vertical stand it comes with is to tall for my setup, so I rearranged my setup to accommodate!

PROS: Great price, looks amazing. Picture quality is perfect for me right out of the box with a slight increase in brightness. Can't ever go back to 60hz now..

CONS: Just a little too tall on the vertical mount, had to rearrange my monitor stand for other monitor to fit. Also it has two blue pixels that are stuck. I haven't tried to "unstick" them because they don't really bother me.

    Great monitor for the price
I purchased this monitor after looking all over newegg, and amazon for months deciding what to get. I'm very happy I purchased this one. The monitor was packaged very well, and shipped very quickly (read: the next day). First I connected it with the provided DVI cable, and my video card (GTX 760) detected it right away with 0 issues. A few days later the DP cable I ordered arrived, and again no problems at all. I did have to adjust the refresh rate in the GeForce settings, but that was expected as my old monitor had a much lower refresh rate. The color settings, and presets out of the box worked as expected, and I didn't have to adjust any settings. The stand screwed together in just a minute or so, and the whole set up took maybe 15 minutes. With my desk constraints I had to get a monitor with built in speakers, and they are OK. The speakers are the only downside to this monitor, but I don't see it as a huge impact as I usually play with a headset. From all the monitors I've looked at the built in speakers are the major issue, but I don't think it's fair to expect 5.1 sound from speakers built into a monitor because for me, it's more a convenience than selling point. The only reason I'm giving this a 9 instead of a 10 is because there are no volume controls on the monitor itself. Yes, these are on almost every keyboard, but it would be nice to have separate one's on the monitor. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase, and would purchase another one.

    PROS: Price

    CONS: Speakers

    I love this monitor
At first the price may seem a little on the high side for a 24 inch monitor, but after shopping around a bit I realized I won't be able to find anything that even comes close in price to the specs this monitor has. It's a clean, bright clear picture that can't be beat. Great for games just as the title says its made for. The versatility of having multiple inputs keeps it versatile and an easy connection. Overall this is the best monitor I've ever bought

PROS: Excellent monitor with an amazing picture. This monitor had no dead pictures and is bright and beautiful. I play games with it and I'm always impressed with the picture it puts out each time I play.

CONS: They don't make monitors in larger sizes with these specs

    Amazing monitor
Aside from the one minor dead pixel, (I would buy this monitor with a dead pixel if it was discounted) I love it. Out of the box, it was recognized instantly when connected with native resolution set 1920 x 1080 @ 144 (tested with both DVI and Display Port). In game, I stay around 134 - 144 fps, but I'm playing games like GTA V online at max settings. This monitor will give you the picture and performance you want as long as you have the hardware to push it (ie. recommended specs for games). One day when I get a bigger desk, I may buy a second monitor.

    PROS: - 144hz gaming monitor

    - Amazing picture

    - Solid construction

    - Sturdy stand

    - Sleek design

CONS: - Only con is when I purchased this product, monitor had a dead pixel. This was remedied quickly with customer service. Issued an RMA with return labels. Took 1 day to ship back to Monoprice, and I had a replacement the next day.
