Kidz Cover and Stand for iPad Air™ 2 - Black
(the New iPad)
|iPad Air™||iPad Air 2|
Are you thinking about getting an iPad for your child, but are worried that they might be too young and will drop and break it? Worry no more! Use this Kidz Cover and Stand for iPad Air 2 from Monoprice and you can send your child off to school with complete confidence that it will come back in the same condition!
This Cover/Stand is made of heavy-duty EVA foam, the same kind that is used in the soles of high-end sneakers. This means that it can withstand considerable wear and tear and provides extreme shock protection. The thick foam fully covers the back and sides and extends above the surface of the iPad's screen, which means that the screen will remain safe from scratches if laid on its face.
The handle provides a secure grip for the iPad and, as a bonus, can be folded back to serve as the base for using the case as a vertical stand in landscape mode. Openings on the sides of the case allow access to the connectors and controls. The Lightning™ connector is protected from the elements with a foam flap that covers the opening when it is not in use.
Note: While we cannot guarantee how much abuse an iPad in this case could withstand, this case has been drop tested with a working iPad installed and not once during our tests did the iPad suffer any damage.
Note: This case comes with a plastic insert to prevent shrinkage and to help it keep its shape during shipping. Please remove this plastic insert before installing your iPad into the case.

It's so ironic that Apple champions itself on user-friendliness, ease-of-use, but their products sorely lack in ergonomic physical handling because they chose style over substance. This case corrects that.
PROS: Provides good grip and cushioning.
CONS: The softness of the case-stand leaves me in doubt about its usefulness as a stand.
