Questions and Answers
PROS: Light, very flexible, easy to assemble/mount
CONS: I did not like the way the projector fastens to the mount it seems it could slide off if not tightened very well.
Be ready for a struggle with the telescoping pipes.
PROS: Easy to install. Good/large mounting foot. Finished appearance is decent, but I would not recommend for a fancy home theater. More suited to commercial work. Fine for drop ceiling installs where foot & poles won't be seen.
Fine trim adjustments work pretty well
Good range of drop from ceiling.
Ceiling bracket works for flat & angled ceilings
CONS: Telescoping parts way too tight needed to be literally pounded together
(do this first before attaching top or bottom brackets).
Screws M (holding ceiling bracket to telescoping pipe) need washers.
Set screw in projector bracket threads worthless long before it engages (stopping the projector from rotating) it got too tight and began to bend the allan wrench supplied.
Many reviews mentioned about tight connection between extensions. It's not any more, very easy to connect all 3 extensions. This makes the long extension floppy. I hoped that was a tight connection, "need hammer to push in" as many reviewed to make a solid connection. The top part to screw onto the ceiling is very badly designed. In North America, ceiling is most likely the wood stud. It can't be that wide. The large and floppy fixture is very ugly. The mount of the projector is too large for my SONY BRAVIA VPL-HW 3 hole projector. The mount to the extension is only one screw and looks scary. At the end, I had to use the old mount top (it happened that pushed in the extension very tightly) to make it look nicer. The result: floppy mount. It would probably OK if nothing vibrates and moves. I don't know yet, need to wait and see.
PROS: (1) price
(3) steel extension
CONS: (1) floppy extension
(2) ugly and impractical ceiling mount part
(3) not flexible mounting piece on the projector
(4) one screw mount mechanism for the heavy projector
1.) the extension tubing was too tight a fit. The only way to get the tubing to align with the holes and where you wanted it was to use a hammer and a screw driver.
2.) The system to screw the mount into the projector was not designed for projectors with 3 mounting points. We were able to make it work eventually though.
3.) When the projector was mounted, we learned that the mounting head was welded in the wrong position, it was twisted on the pole about 30º. So the once the projector was installed on the mount, it was not straight to the screen, not even close. We had to do some severe adjusting and tweaking to get it to work just right.
4.) WIth everything tight, the projector mount still has a little bit of play due to oversized holes. Hopefully this does not cause a problem.
Over all for the price I guess you get what you pay for. The saving grace is we were able to make it work and hopefully we won't have to monkey with it any longer now that it is set up.
PROS: Price, finish, tight fit.
CONS: The pipes fit too tight. Projector mounting bracket did not alight properly.

PROS: Easy to install, perfect length.

Great job Monoprice, and stupid fast shipping.
PROS: Built nice and heavy. Easy to adjust to any projector, I just sat the projector on a table, adjusted the "legs" until the pole was in the center of gravity, snugged up, and mounted. The modular tubes meant I could install at varying heights until I found one that worked best.
CONS: It didn't crawl up to the ceiling to mount itself.
PROS: Rugged Construction. Easy assembly - Very adjustable to fit any projector -
CONS: The only difference I really see between this and a high priced model would be micro adjustability. For our uses this unit is perfect.
