This shows a monolith amp in the photo but says it only supports 75lbs per shelf? Is the bottom shelve the same as the amp stand that says it supports 150 lbs? Or can the amp stand be used as a fifth (bottom) shelve?

BEST ANSWER: The amp stand can be used as the bottom shelf. I called Monoprice and they said no, but they looked like the exact same design so I bought both and they connected no problem.
    can you stack them ?
    A shopper on Oct 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't advise it.
This has the same exact dimensions and looks exactly like the shelves on the 4-teir audio stand. What makes this capable of holding 150lbs opposed to 75lbs?

Monolith by Monoprice 4 Tier Audio Stand (Black)
BEST ANSWER: This is only holding one component, where the 4 tier shelf will be holding several components.
Are there different legs heights available? 4.7 inches is pretty useless for component stacking.
    A shopper on Oct 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not at this time.
    Can the spikes be removed?
    Stephen C on Mar 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they can be removed. In fact, you they don't come with the spikes installed. The spikes need to be added during the setup. I do not use the spikes.
More of a request than a question -- any chance you could expand this product offering? I wish there was a LARGER and somewhat MODULAR design. My Marantz Preamp/ Processor is about 18"W x 7-1/4"H x 18"D and the Yamaha Amp I use with it is about 17"W x 8-1/4"H x 19-3/16"D. Ideally I could use something like this to elevate one above the above so that I had more room for a turntable on the top of my AV console. There would need to be at least an inch or two of clearance so that sufficient air flow is provided.

BEST ANSWER: I've submitted similar feedback on these stands. For my tall amp I bought this stand along with the 4 tier audio stand. I took the longest posts from the audio stand and the shortest posts and connected them with a set of the screws that came with the units. This gave me a shelf with plenty of clearance for my amp but now I'm unable to acquire more hardware to connect the shelf that got left over. We really should be able to buy extra hardware, IMO.
This looks like it could be an excellent base for a turntable. Is there enough thread on the spikes to allow a small amount of leveling?
    New User U on May 29, 2018
What is the thread diameter of the spike used ?
    A shopper on May 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm sorry I don't know but I have seen two types of threads for spikes. The small spikes with the fine threads & the larger spikes with the more coarse threads. The have the larger size.

    Great for the price.
I never thought I would find an amp stand for less than $100 until I found this one. It supports my 45 pound amp just fine and looks really good, too. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an amplifier stand that won't break the bank.

    High quality, solid component stand
I actually use this as a short TV riser for my somewhat heavy (75 lbs) 65" plasma TV. It works perfectly and feels absolutely solid. It took me a little bit to figure out how to put it together (looks like it should be simple, but I found a way to get confused...), but after I figured it out, it went together quickly. I don't use the spikes, but they seem solid as well.

I could totally see using these for high quality A/V gear as well, as it looks great.

    Amp stand
I purchased this to hold a Monolith 7X amp. It serves that purpose well, and gets the amp up off the ground a few inches. It's very sturdy, and was easy to assemble once I figured it out. Mine came with no instructions for that. A bit of trial and error got it done, though. I did not use the spikes. It does exactly what I want it to do at a price that was very fair. I would recommend it to a friend.

Component stand is exactly as shown and described. I needed it to fit on the bottom shelf of my beautiful Bello tv stand but only if it was just as advertised and it is! I couldn't be happier!

    Very Nice
This is an amplifier stand that is much better than its price would lead you to think. Supports a 90lb amp with no sag or signs of not being able to handle it long term

This work perfectly for my Marshall CODE 50 amp. I didn't want to set it on the carpet in my music area. Perfect size and fit.

    Good stand
Solid stand. The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 from me is the spikes for the feet. They're difficult to set to where they'll be the same height all the way around. It's just a spike bolt with a nut that you move up and down to set the height. Simple, but can be a pain to get them all at the right spot.

    Nice little stand
This is a nice little component stand. I bought it along with the 4 tier audio stand to use as the bottom shelf. I have a 130lb amp so figured I could just swap out the 4 tier stands bottom shelf for this and it works perfectly. Just to be sure with the weight I bought a 1/2'' steel flange, 4'' nipple and end cap and screwed it to the bottom as a 5th leg in the middle. Worked like a charm. The other pieces of the 4 tier stand attached to this no problem. My only gripe with this and the 4 tier stand is that they're sold as a "build your own" type option. A 6 tier stand would have been perfect for my gear. I could just buy another one of these, which I'm going to, but if these were a choose your set up buy, starting at like 3 tiers or something that'd be a whole lot easier.
