High Quality TV Stand for Flat Panel TVs Up to 50 Inches
While wall mounts are the current craze, traditional TV stands are still ideal for situations in which you cannot drill into the wall or where you want to also have storage for your DVD player, satellite receiver, etc.
This High Quality TV Stand for Flat Panel TVs is designed to accommodate displays up to 50" in size and total weight up to 88 lbs (40 Kg). The stand measures about 47.2" x 15.0" x 19.8" (LWH) and weighs about 44 lbs.
The top shelf can accommodate the full 88 lb (40 Kg) weight capacity of the stand. The middle and bottom shelves can support up to 11 lbs (5 Kg) each, so long as the total does not exceed 88 lbs. The bottom shelf sits about 2.4" above the floor.

I personally also really want the option of casters. This is quite hard to find on most TV stands. I want to be able to roll it forward to work on the cabling and connections.
(I can't figure out what material the shelves are made of... )
CONS: Weak shelves
My Sony 46" tv with base weighs 63.5 lbs. with this tv the top shelf was "bowed" downward noticeably. Given the shelf is made of glass, this could be a serious problem, if the shelf breaks. The question is not "if" the shelf would break, but "when". I was reluctant to even bump the unit for fear of breaking.
I contacted Monoprice they wanted a picture to see the problem and they refunded my money less shipping within a day.
PROS: Looks nice, low cost
CONS: All 3 shelves are made of glass, not a material I would use for heavy large flat screen tv's.
PROS: Table is gorgeous in person ppl. taked like 20 minutes if that to setup.holds my 46in with no problem and will hold my soon to come 50in.
CONS: no cons. it was pretty straight forward and easy to setup
PROS: The stand is very attractive and looks good with our 55" LED TV sitting on it. We had one bad part but Monoprice shipped out a replacement and it was very easy to put the stand together. For the quality and attractiveness of this stand you would normally be looking at two or three times their price.
CONS: We already had a component stand on casters so we didn't have to worry about the weight limits for the shelves.
PROS: Price and value
Ease of assembly
