10 Outlet Power Surge Protector w/ Sliding Safety Covers - 2880 Joules
Protect your electronic equipment from damaging voltage and current spikes with this Monoprice surge protector!
This model includes ten protected power outlets, 4 of which are positioned for AC power adapters, and two pairs of gold plated coaxial/RF line protection circuits. The clear plastic tabs on the sides of the unit illuminate green to indicate when the surge protector is providing protection to your equipment and when a proper ground is detected.
When the protection circuitry has been fully consumed by power and current spikes, the protection light will no longer illuminate, indicating that the surge protector should be replaced. When the grounded tab is not illuminated it indicates that there is a problem with the house wiring and that the ground is not properly connected to the power outlet.
The surge protector has 4 keyholes on the back, allowing it to be secured to a wall or other surface.

PROS: Looks nice. Spacing is nice.
CONS: Failed at primary task: protecting electronics
Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 9200. If I may ask, what devices were connected to the surge protector at the time of the thunderstorm? Were all devices connected affected? Is the protection light still illuminated on the surge protector? Also, do you happen to have the order number for this purchase? Please let me know so we can look into this matter further. Thank you in advance!

PROS: This surge protector has everything you want and it lets you know that it is grounded and protected. Very high quality at a decent price.
PROS: Surge Protection, Monoprice pricing
CONS: BRIGHT GREEN LIGHTS
PROS: plug placement, quality build, light confirmation
CONS: not so much a con as a potential improvement: a flat (right-angle) plug, either angled at 45 or 90 degrees so as not to obstruct a plug below, or even a 360 degree freely rotating plug. This would increase price, but also eliminate the need for buying another short adapter/extender.
PROS: Works and looks as described. spacious between plug ins.
CONS: nothing yet
PROS: 4 offset outlets instead of 2 allow for more blocks. The keyhole mounts work great. I used screws and drywall anchors and securely mounted easily to the wall. The on/off switch is in a position where it cannot be easily pressed by accident.
CONS: The lights showing "protected" and "grounded" are way too bright and not easy to "hide". See below.
PROS: Plenty of room for wall-warts and plugs
CONS: LEDs are too bright for full time use in a bedroom(unless you want a night light, then its a PRO)
4 power brick outlets
CONS: super bright led indicators
It seems that at some point during this device's design, an observation was made that electronics manufacturers just don't design things like they used to, and that the world really needed a return to the good old days when the order in which you connected AC adapters to things was the difference between having a working laptop and having a toasted DC input board.
Accordingly, this power strip was designed in such a way as to zap the everliving **** out of anything you attempt to plug into it, then buzz at you so that you repeat the process a few times in order to figure out what's going on.
PROS: It works, I suppose.
CONS: Design of sockets seems to cause dramatically increased occurrence of arcing when plugging things in compared to other power strips and wall outlets, device produces subtle but annoying hum when powered on with anything connected.
