What is the green square around the first outlet mean? I didn't see anything about it in the description.

BEST ANSWER: Hello Stephen W.
The green square possibly indicates that this is the Master outlet; this would suggest that the other outlets will not receive power unless the main green square outlet has a device that is plugged in and powered on. The green square is usually how Master outlets or Always On outlets are identified.

I haven't figured out what the green square outlet is but it is not what Stephen W. said. I have 5 outlets plugged in and working without using the green square outlet. It might be a HomePlug bypass outlet.

Is dual voltage or single voltage?
Julio M
on Jul 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, this product is rated for 120V to work with typical 110V US sockets. It is not designed for use with higher voltages and the surge protection feature may not work as designed and may result in serious damage or injury if used with higher voltages. Hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the outlet in the green box has the same function as the rest, and the design element will actually be removed in future production runs. This model initially had an option to provide a variant with an "always on" socket there that worked independently of the switch (some surge protectors have that feature), but based on product testing it was decided to go with this more straight-forward version where all sockets could be turned off by the switch. Thanks for checking.

For cheap strip, its fine
The power switch is way too sensitive and shallow on the side of the strip. Not cool have bumped it many times at many installs .
