6 Outlet Slim Surge Protector Power Strip - 540 Joules

Protect your electronic equipment from damaging voltage and current spikes with this Monoprice surge protector!

This model includes six protected power outlets, a 3 foot power cord, and a 2-in-1 power/circuit breaker switch. The green LED atop the unit illuminates to indicate when the surge protector is providing protection to your equipment. When the protection circuitry has been fully consumed by power and current spikes, the protection light will no longer illuminate, indicating that the surge protector should be replaced.

The surge strip has 4 keyholes on the back, allowing it to be secured to a wall or other surface.

What is the green square around the first outlet mean? I didn't see anything about it in the description.
    Stephen W on Nov 17, 2017
    BEST ANSWER: Hello Stephen W.

The green square possibly indicates that this is the Master outlet; this would suggest that the other outlets will not receive power unless the main green square outlet has a device that is plugged in and powered on. The green square is usually how Master outlets or Always On outlets are identified.
Is dual voltage or single voltage?

    Works great!
This power strip looks good, works great, I have had no problems. The cord was a little shorter than I thought, but that's a minor problem.

    PROS: Nice overall design

    Works great

    CONS: Short (er) cord

    Great Option
These just seem a little better then your typical power outlet and the only ones that I am aware of in this price range that state their joules rating.

    PROS: Price, design

    CONS: none apparent

    Protect that Surge!
Bought two for an old building where the wiring is suspect. Haven't had any issues but I feel better not only with these just installed but with the quality of these from Monoprice over say Walmart, etc. The only reason I say white as a con is that I have some electronics that are white that get dull, dingy overtime due to dust, fingerprints, etc. but this is a surge protector and not a high-visibility item where appearances matter. I absolutely LOVE the switch placement as I don't have to worry about sacrificing a plug where a cord's base would accidentally flip the switch off. Highly recommend. Will buy again!

    PROS: Protects the Surge

    Switch placement!!!!!!!!

    CONS: Doesn't buy me dinner

White can get dull over time (No experience with this, just conjecture)

    Successfully protected electronics.
I bought 2 of these, along with some other models. The 2 540-Joule units both stopped lighting green last night after several power flickers, and ultimately a power outage. Both strips still provide power, but no longer light green. All my electronics still work, so clearly these did their job. My other (higher joule) power strips are all still green, so I will replace these 2 units with the higher-rated units. Less than $20 for these two surge protectors saved thousands of dollars of electronics.

    PROS: Inexpensive, effective protection.

    It's an inexpensive Power Strip
I bought this to replace an older more expensive power strip that failed. You can do that too.

    PROS: It works, It's inexpensive

    Good product
I like the price and quality of Monoprice surge protectors. My only issue is with the spacing of the outlets, but if that is a concern you can spend a few more dollars and by their 10 outlet power surge protector.

PROS: Sturdy, looks nice, thin enough to put behind a desk

CONS: not good if you need to plug in bulky transformers. Transformers may block one or two plugs
