Does this have holes in the back to mount it on a wall?
    Noah K on Feb 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Screw head slots on both ends, intended for mounting horizontally, and reversible to allow mounting with main cord coming out or right side or left side.
How long is the surge protector? Not the cable, the actual device itself...from top to bottom?

Does this have standard plug or 90/flat plug to the wall outlet?
    nathan s on May 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Standard plug. I do wish they make it as flat but overall it works well with various adapter I have bc I can squeeze them in but changing the angle.

    Does what it should
Two fixed plugs at the "top," on either side, by the power on/off button. The push-on-push-off action on the power button seems kinda finicky to me, but honestly, how often are you going to be turning 8 things on and off at once?

6 rotating sections don't seem to go quite the full 180 degrees, but it's close enough to not matter. Rotation action is pretty stiff, but in the end it's probably better that way so they don't turn when you don't want them to. Depending on your adaptors, you might have to plan a bit before plugging everything in, but I can't imagine a situation where you couldn't use every single plug.

A pair of little flip out bits on the "bottom" seem to be there as cable guides. They don't do a whole lot if your wires aren't the right weight or going in that direction. But you could certainly use them with a cable tie/wrap if you need it.

There is a wall mount screw slot on each end, slotted so that you can mount it horizontally, with the power cable on either end. The slots aren't suited for vertical mounting (though I'm sure there are those who could make it work).

    Pretty happy with the result!

PROS: Hard to imagine a scenario where you couldn't fit 6 - 8 "wall wart" adaptors on this strip.

Clear, easy to see power indicator. Sturdy construction.

CONS: Wall mounting slots not suited for vertical alignment. Power button is a little fussy.

    Rotation is a little chunky.

    Unique Surge Strip
This surge strip has a fairly clever design with the 6 swiveling outlets. In addition, there are 2 fixed outlets, one on each side. The swiveling outlets turn easily but are stiff enough that they should stay where they're put under most conditions. They don't swivel a full 180 degrees, but enough to get out of each other's way for power adapters, etc. The retractable cable-guiding clips at the end are also a nice touch. There are a couple of mounting holes/slots on the back. (I know most people don't bother to mount their power strips, but it's nice to have mounting holes when you do want them.)

Such a clever little idea, but it makes a big difference - I'm pretty short on outlets, so actually being able to fit all my electronics onto one surge protector has made my life a lot easier.

PROS: I was able to use every outlet, even with a bunch of big plugs that didn't all fit together on my old surge protector.

Outlets stay turned where put them, but are easy enough to move when you want.

    Nice solid heft and feel.

    CONS: None so far!

    Extremely versatile!
Highly recommend this strip for its versatility. The fixed side outlets add to the product by allowing room for odd-shaped or elongated male ends (like my cell and bluetooth chargers) without stealing the next closest outlet. Can't honestly speak to the surge protection as haven't had any recent events, but if this product is in line with everything else I've bought from Monoprice, it'll work just fine.

Perfect for the different types of plugs that never fit in a standard strip
This rotating power strip is perfect for the different type of plugs we have. They never all fit in a regular power strip. No problem with the rotating feature for those square AC/DC converter plugs for lamps, etc.

    Great Outlet for Tech
The obvious advantage is you can find room for those odd or large size plugs that come with many of your tech chargers.
