    What's In The Box ?
    A shopper on Apr 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The box only includes packaging, and the TWO speakers. They are well built, and sound pretty good.
These are rated as 30W RMS, 60W max. Are those listed wattages per channel (speaker) or total for the pair?
    Levon S on Jul 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: When they say RMS, that means the speakers can put out 30W continuously without any risk of blowing them. Thirty watts is pretty loud, perfect for indoors without doing any hearing damage. I bought them, i'm a musician, i'm very happy with them, and the quality.
Are the push terminals large enough to accept banana plugs or just pin posts?
    A shopper on Apr 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yeah, you can squeeze them in, but they just kinda hang in there. Not snug. If you move the speaker or wire, they’ll fall out.
Do you need an amplifier for these? Or can you connect them directly to an audio interface?
    New User U on Feb 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, an amplifier is required. 30-40W. per channel.
Can I use this for a record player?
    A shopper on May 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but they are passive speakers and will need an amplifier.
Do these have a built in crossover, or are the tweeter & woofer wired together with a filter capacitor/resistor etc.?
    Jeffrey C on Apr 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: To keep costs down, as our competitors do, these speakers use a purpose built cap in the tweeter rather than a full crossover network.
What are the shipping dimensions of the box these arrive in?

    Great Sound at the price
Speakers were shipped with enough packaging to prevent damage in shipping.

I've tested the speakers on my computer desk both sitting directly at the desk and sitting about 8 feet away.. Both instances they were powered by a 15W RMS amplified

Sitting at my desk these speakers have a very full bass. They don't have a very hard punch for foot pedals and the like, Listening to a range of modern to classic rock and metal, they work well and get quite loud with no signs of distortion. It does seem at times with more complicated areas, the vocals fade to the background.. Running just a touch down on the bass at this distance helped a lot to improve overall clarity of mid to highs at higher volumes.

Sitting 8 feet away, the story does change a bit. Overall bass levels did drop considerably until either turned up more or adjusting an eq. At higher volumes the speakers sounded great, handling everything quite well. These still will not give the punch a subwoofer would provide. Mids and highs were very clear and at moderate volumes were noticeably louder than the lows (this is to be expected).

Overall I really do like these speakers and will make a great replacement to the speakers built in to my secondary TV . The main one has a full surround setup.

These speakers will have no problem filling a small room (14' x 14' at the largest) with plenty of noise across the entire spectrum. In a larger room as part of a set of speakers they should have no issues. However if you really want a punch to your music or rumble from movies, you will want to pair these with a subwoofer.

    Monoprice Bookshelf speakers MP-65TW
Great speakers at an even greater price.....sounds like they cost hundreds, Have them hooked up to my older analog audiophile equipment and it takes me back to yesteryear when you actually touched the music and it touched you.

    Thanks Monoprice

Great Speakers for thier Price Point
I was looking for an affordable pair of speakers to replace an antiquated pair of floorstanding speakers I had in my bedroom. I wanted something that took up a little less room, but still sounded great. I came upon these on a different website and the reviews were great. I kept these in my bookmarks and thought about it for a few months. Finally, after moving, I decided to pull the trigger and I couldn't be happier that I did! The sound is fantastic for the space and they handle both Netflix/TV/Movie viewing as well as music quite well. While the bass won't blow you away at higher levels, these speakers do quite well throughout all levels and are a great replacement (and improvement) to my previous equipment. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for speakers on a budget!

    Great Budget Audio
Excellent item for the money! I tried my phone and tablet using RCA direct line in to 1/8 inch audio jack, and with the Bluetooth setting. Also tested some portable audio devices like a CD player, Minidisc player, and cassette tape player with playing many genres of music. All formats sounded very good! Warms up the signal. I like this 25 watt unit (so much) I plan to buy the 50 Watt version on Black Friday. :) The entry level bookshelf speakers are good starters and great value! Highly recommend!
