8-Channel Speaker Selector
Spread your sounds around your home or business with this Monoprice 8-Channel Speaker Selector!
This speaker selector allows you to connect up to eight stereo speaker zones. Each zone can be individually toggled on or off with the front panel switch. Built-in impedance-matching circuitry ensures that the overall impedance level to the amplifier does not drop below 5 Ohms, no matter how many speaker zones are selected or how many speakers are in each zone.
The impedance-matching protection circuitry can be disabled using a front-panel button, but this should only be done if there is another protection circuit employed or the system is carefully designed to avoid amplifier damage. The unit can handle up to 100 watts per channel with the protection circuitry enabled and up to 200 watts per channel with the protection circuit disabled.

PROS: Very convenient, good size, great price
PROS: I don't have to use up all my speaker ports on my receiver. I just dedicate a few ports to channel selector and then I can add up to 8 more speakers without worrying blowing my receiver.
PROS: No power required
Excepts 14 gauge speaker cable
Worked without any hassle.
PROS: Price, Simple to install
PROS: Solid construction, easy to hook up,
CONS: None, for 30 dollars never expected this quailty
I ordered 2 more since then,
one for inside & outside the garage, and one sitting in a box waiting for me to set up a 2nd receiver system for in & outside the rest of the house.
Great item at a cheap price,
PROS: Does exactly what it should, distributes stereo sound to eight other sets of speakers in different areas of your house (eight zones). It is also a well constructed case. It is easy to set-up and you can use up to 14 awg speaker wires. It's completely quiet, and does not get hot.
CONS: Only two SMALL cons. The labels are tiny, but they work. Not a big deal. And I'd love to see this unit have independent volume control on each zone. But since this unit is so inexpensive, I don't mind not having this feature!
PROS: Quality look and feel. Easy setup no noise
CONS: none so far
PROS: No noise in switching. Distributes power nicely. Sturdy build.
