Outdoor Speaker Volume Controller RMS 100W - Gray
You're out in your yard enjoying your pool or BBQ. You've set up your outdoor sound system so that you can listen to music while you relax. What a hassle it is to go all the way back inside your house just to adjust the volume. Wouldn't it be easier to have a volume controller out in your patio?
Here's your solution: an outdoor speaker volume controller. This specially designed unit comes in a weatherproof, sealed enclosure specifically designed for ootdoor installations. A simple rotary design allows you to set your audio to the perfect listening level.
The water resistant enclosure also makes it perfect for marine (boating) applications.
This rotary control can be set to one of twelve positions, including the minimum (off) and maximum volume settings.

When setting up the speaker volume controls, it is important to match the impedance of your speaker system with the load rating of your amplifier. This is done by setting the jumpers on the volume control to compensate for the number of speakers you have in a parallel configuration and the impedance level of the speakers.
If using a single pair of speakers rated at the same load level as your amplifier, you don't need to make any changes - just leave the jumper in the default x1 position. However, if your speakers are of a different impedance level and/or you have more than one set of speakers in parallel, please refer to the following chart as a guide for setting the jumpers on the speaker volume control.
Note that for any speakers wired in series, the overall impedance level is the sum of each speaker. So two 4 ohm speakers wired in series is the same impedance as a single 8 ohm speaker.

Questions and Answers
CONS: Poor Quality
No space for wires
PROS: Cheap, and the only weatherproof (time will tell) volume control I could find.
CONS: Poor design
I did not have these problems with the indoor volume control.
PROS: Solid Design, Easy to Install, Looks good mounted on my patio.
CONS: I have 6 Yamaha outdoor speakers and 2 of them are being controlled with this box on my patio. The unit does exactly what it is supposed to but the sound from these 2 speakers even at full volume is a little lower than the other 4 that are directly connected to the receiver.
PROS: Arrived in short time. Works great.
CONS: Small wire connections, but that is needed for the size of the unit.
PROS: Well built, includes all the gaskets, speaker terminals come off for easy installation. Can't get over how inexpensive it is.
PROS: Works as advertised, very easy to install. The online video has all the info you need.
CONS: One volume controller they sent me was defective, I called Monoprice and they shipped me out another one right away and that one works perfect.

PROS: price, pluggable connectors, seems well built
CONS: Enclosure is too small and the connectors are inconveniently located. Wouldn't work unless you used really small wires which would require the amp to be very near - most likely outdoors and make this control unnecessary.
